Abstract

The invention relates to a grenade launcher with shock absorber, the housing (1) of which is arranged between the launcher tube and the bipod or tripod tube support or aiming device and which has at least one recoil-counteracting, if appropriate hydraulically assisted shock-absorber spring (6) mounted in the spring housing (2) which is displaceable in the shock-absorber housing (1). In the shock-absorber housing (1) an elastically acting thrust element is arranged which acts in the opposite direction to the shock-absorber spring (6) and inhibits its relaxing movement in the final phase and which engages on the spring housing (2).

Description

The invention relates to a grenade launcher with a shock absorber, the housing of which is arranged between the launcher tube and the tube support or straightening device embodied as a bipod or tripod, and the at least one shock absorber spring which counteracts the recoil and is optionally hydraulically supported and mounted in a spring housing displaceable in the shock absorber housing having.

In contrast to other types of weapons, e.g. Guns, in the case of grenade launchers, shock absorbers are not intended to inhibit a pipe return caused by the shot, because the launcher pipe is basically only rotatably mounted on a base plate, but rather serve the impact effects of the recoil caused by a projectile being fired, particularly on the frame and the straightening device to minimize and to avoid post-shot messages caused by unwanted changes in position.

It has been shown that despite a distribution of forces that can be achieved by pairing two shock absorbers in unfavorable ground conditions, the fact can occur that the necessary damping of the impact effect is achieved by compressing one or more appropriately dimensioned shock absorber springs, optionally combined with hydraulic damping that, however, the high load of these springs has an unfavorable effect on their relaxation and does not only cause excessive material wear, but also unwanted changes in position of the grenade launcher.

A shock absorber for a grenade launcher is known from US Pat. No. 2,732,766, in which a spring is arranged in the shock absorber housing, a guide rod being provided hen, which is guided on one side in the shock absorber housing and at the other end carries a disc on which a spring is supported. This plate also cooperates with a cap located at the end of the shock absorber housing, in which a rubber buffer element is provided. Such a shock absorber is not suitable for large loads, with part of the recoil forces being converted into friction and heat by the spring guide and the spring guide rod. Furthermore, the plate can be tilted, so that the grenade launcher tube is only delayed in the rest position.

With the help of the present invention, these disadvantages can be remedied, and this is accomplished in such a way that an elastically acting pressure element acting on the spring housing and acting in the opposite direction to the shock absorber spring and inhibiting its relaxation movement in the final phase is arranged, which is preferably designed as a compression spring is.

A compressed gas cushion, disc springs, a block made of rubber or another highly elastic material or the like can also serve as such a pressure element; A coil spring has proven to be particularly durable. In this case, it is preferred that the outer diameter of the coil spring projects beyond that of the shock absorber spring, which provides a large-area force transmission for braking. It is also advantageous if the outer diameter of the coil spring corresponds approximately to the inside width of the shock absorber housing, so that the shock absorber housing can serve as a guide for the coil spring.

The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the figure showing an embodiment in longitudinal section.

In the essentially hollow cylindrical shaped shock absorber housing 1, which is connected in pairs to a second, analog shock absorber via a clamp arrangement (not shown in detail) at la with the launcher tube (not shown), a spring housing 2 is suitably inserted. Both housings are connected by means of a centrally arranged bolt 3, a spring guide ring 4 and 5 being provided in each of the two end regions of the spring housing 2, on which the shock absorber spring 6 rests and the spring ends are supported between their annular projections 4 'and 5'. In the free interior of the shock absorber housing 1 which remains in front of the spring housing 2 in the relaxed state of the spring 6 corresponding to the illustration, a compression spring 7 is positioned which serves to inhibit the relaxation movement of the shock absorber spring 6 in the final phase. The outer diameter of the compression spring 7 is significantly larger than that of the long shock absorber spring 6 and placed on the inside width of the housing 1, which is understood to mean the elongated cavity in which the two housings 1 and 2 can move relative to one another. In the exposed, annularly widened end region of the spring housing 2, the attachment to the straightening device, which is not shown in more detail and is mounted on a bipod, is provided at 2a. For the sake of completeness, a number of fasteners should also be mentioned, namely the ring nut 8 connected to a lock washer 9, the fastening screw 10 and the cylindrical pin 11. If necessary, the cavities in which the springs 6 and 7 are, with hydraulic oil and by appropriate dimensioning or design of the projection 4 'as a throttle valve both lubrication of the sliding parts and support of the damping effect of the shock absorber spring 6 can be achieved. In the ring area of la, a seal 12 is provided for the lubricant or hydraulic oil.
