Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a scouring container for finishing, eg deburring, polishing and. the like. articles, eg rubber or plastic parts of such through takes place during movement of the scouring container friction between the objects to be processed and with these mixed abrasives, as well as an array S c year container.
For deburring and polishing objects made of different materials, in particular plastics, it is known to use scrubbing containers into which the objects, mixed with grinding wheels of different formats, are filled. When moving the scrubbing container, e.g. Rotation or vibration, deburring or polishing is caused by the friction of the grinding wheels. Such scrubbing containers must be designed in particular with regard to their abrasion resistance and it is therefore known to provide metal containers with rubber or plastic pads. Due to its particularly good abrasion resistance, polyurethane elastomer is often used. A problem that has not yet been solved with these scrubbing containers, however, is the very large amount of noise generated in the company. This is around 120 dB, for example, and therefore means a significant environmental impact on the workplace. This burden is all the greater, for example in the jewelry industry, for the manufacture of fashion jewelry, such scrubbing containers work in large numbers in huge halls, so that a certain commutation occurs in the noise pollution.
The present invention has therefore set itself the goal of creating a scrubbing container which not only has a very long service life with regard to its abrasion resistance, but which also enables a strong reduction of the sound level during operation.
This is achieved according to the invention in that the scrubbing container has walls made of a polyurethane elastomer provided with a stiffening skeleton.
This design ensures that the walls of the scrubbing container, on the one hand, do not allow a considerable part of the sound energy to arise and, on the other hand, dampen them considerably due to the possibility of elastic deformation when the filling material impacts.
The resilience of the scrubbing container according to the invention, which would be disadvantageous for its installation as a machine part, is eliminated, as far as its external dimensions are concerned, by providing a stiffening skeleton. This stiffening skeleton defines and fixes the container in terms of its size and geometric configuration, while the walls which are arranged between the stiffening skeleton remain resiliently flexible.
An embodiment of the invention provides that the scrubbing container is designed as a prism which is open on one side and can be closed with a front part, the edges of which lie between the side walls and are provided with rods, for example made of metal, as a stiffening skeleton. The design as a prism, known per se for such scrubbing containers, enables drum-shaped rotation, the filling material repeatedly hitting the walls and thus the desired friction between the material to be processed and enters the grinding wheels. The fact that the prism can be closed on one side by a front part has the advantage of being easy to clean. In addition, this is also an advantageous embodiment for the production, since then an unpressurized casting process can be used in an open mold. As a result, only low molding costs are necessary and the production can be carried out extremely efficiently.
The arrangement of the bars in the edges lying between the side walls leads exactly to the desired effect, namely the elastic swing-through possibility of the side walls. This is precisely the reason why noise is greatly reduced.
An advantageous embodiment provides that the rods are inserted through pipes cast in polyurethane elastomer. On the one hand, this results in additional stiffening of the edges and, on the other hand, these tubes then define the edge length, while the rods inserted through the tube are generally available in a simple manner for fixing the end part or for assembling the scrubbing container. This also ensures that forces acting on the rods do not adversely affect the stability of the container, which could be the case if the rods are cast directly into the wall and thus the connection between the rods and the polyurethane elastomer would be direct.
In order to ensure a good fit of the tubes in the container walls, without them having to be made thicker overall, it is expedient if the edges serving to receive the rods are thickened. This gives increased strength at this point and it is also ensured that the thickness of the polyurethane elastomer is nowhere too thin at this point.
A further expedient embodiment of the invention provides that rigid disks are arranged above the bottom and front part of the scrubbing container, through which the ends of the rods are inserted and against which they are fixed, e.g. are screwed. By using the rigid washers, there is also a stiffening in the plane normal to the bars, and at the same time there is an easy mounting option. To assemble the container, it is only necessary to put the disks, which have corresponding holes at the penetration points of the rods, over the rods and to fix them by means of screwing. Like the rods, the disks can be made of metal, for example iron. It is expedient if the disks protrude beyond the base and / or front part and are circular.
The protrusion provides a certain protective function against accidents at work, since the edges and corners of the scrubbing container, which pose a risk of injury when rotating, are covered. By protruding from the circular disks, there is also the possibility of indirectly accomplishing the scrubbing container by pressing these disks against a rotating wheel. However, a direct drive is also possible via a pin attached to the center of the disks.
Within the scope of the present invention, an arrangement of scrubbing containers is also advantageous, according to which two or more scrubbing containers are arranged one behind the other and by means of those which pass through the containers and are arranged towards the ends Disks of fixed rods, are connected.
In this arrangement, the above-described possibility of mounting the disks with the rods is particularly expedient since simply several containers can be connected one behind the other by means of common rods, the rods being able to be used to clamp together the disks serving as end fixings.
In the simplest case, two containers are connected in this way, these two containers lying with their bottoms against one another, while the openings of the scrubbing containers are covered on both sides with end pieces. The two containers are then clamped together by means of washers located above the two end parts, the end parts and the washers also advantageously being able to be formed in one piece, that is to say that the end part, which likewise consists of polyurethane elastomer, is poured directly onto the washer.
The invention is explained in more detail below by way of example with reference to the drawings.
