Definitions
- the invention relates to a gas control device with a servo pressure regulator according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a gas control device with a servo pressure regulator according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the main gas valve having its own diaphragm drive, the drive chamber of which is supplied with the control pressure of an attached servo pressure regulator.
- the closing body of the switch-on solenoid valve which is designed as a changeover valve with two opposing valve seats, is acted upon by the inlet pressure in the opening direction.
- the housing consists in all embodiments of a lower housing part 1, an upper housing part 2, an intermediate plate 3, a cover 4 and a bottom plate 5.
- the lower housing part 1 forms the actual valve housing with an inlet 6, an outlet 7 and one in a partition 8 between the inlet and outlet provided valve seat 9 for the closing body 10 of the main valve. This is carried by a valve rod 11, on the head 12 of which engages a closing spring 13, which is supported on the opposite side on the valve rod guide 14 in a housing-fixed manner.
- a magnetic drive 15 be consolidates, which actuates the closing body 18 via a lever 16 and a valve rod 17 and forms a solenoid valve therewith.
- the closing pressure 18 also acts via the channel 23 of the inlet pressure of the gas control device at the inlet 6 in the closing direction. If the magnetic drive 15 is connected to an electrical power source, the lever 16 presses the closing body 18 against the force of the closing spring 21 and against the inlet pressure from the valve seat 22 via the valve rod 17. So that the inlet pressure can reach the pressure regulator via the channel 23.
- the pressure regulator is designed as a membrane pressure regulator.
- it has a diaphragm 25 carrying the closing body in the form of a ball 24, an associated valve seat 26 and a spring 27 which prestresses the closing body in the closing direction and which transmits its force to a closing body carrier 30 via a rocker arm 29 mounted on one side in a tilting bearing 28.
- the spring 27 is supported on the opposite side at the head of an adjusting screw 31, as a result of which the spring preload and thus the pressure setpoint of the pressure regulator can be set.
- the valve seat 26 is provided in the passage 32 of a boundary wall 33 of the control pressure chamber 34, the opposite wall of which is at least partially formed by the main membrane 35.
- the control pressure chamber 34 receives its inlet pressure via the solenoid valve 18, 22, a prechamber 38 and a throttle point 39, while the outlet chamber 40 of the pressure regulator is connected to the outlet 7 of the gas control valve via a channel 41.
- a nozzle or throttle 42 is inserted, which has nothing to do with the operation of the gas control device itself. Rather, it should limit the leakage rate of the residual gas flowing out of the outlet 7 and the connected consumer via the channel 41 in the event of a break in the pressure regulator membrane 25.
- a connection channel 43 is also provided between the outlet 7 and the space 38 which is separated from the inlet 6 by the solenoid valve 18, 22 and is connected to the control pressure chamber 34 via the throttle point 39. It has a throttle point 44, which serves as a blow-off opening when the gas control valve is switched off, for reducing the pressure in the control pressure chamber 34.
- the gas control device works as follows: To turn on the device, the magnetic drive 15 is energized, whereby the closing body 18 of the solenoid valve 15, 18 lifts from the seat 22 and the pressure at the inlet 6 via the Channel 23 can enter the room 38. A small amount of gas flows through the throttle point 44 and the connecting duct 43 to the outlet, but is not sufficient to ignite the burner. Gas also flows from the pre-chamber 38 into the control pressure chamber 34 via the throttle point 39. Under the influence of the pressure building up very quickly in the control pressure chamber 34, the diaphragm 35 bulges downward and increasingly opens the main valve 9, 10 via the valve rod 11.
- the course of the outlet pressure at outlet 7 as a function of time is shown schematically in FIG.
- the slight dead time between the switch-on time t 0 and the beginning of the pressure increase at the time t 1 is due to the fact that the solenoid valve must first open and the pressure in the control pressure chamber 34 must build up before the membrane 35 is deformed and the valve rod 11 begins to move .
- the maximum pressure p is adjustable with the aid of the screw 31, which influences the pretension of the spring 27. If the pressure in the control pressure chamber 34 rises above the desired value, it lifts the closing body 24 of the pressure regulator from the seat 26, so that part of the control pressure in the control pressure chamber 34 is reduced via the passage 32 and the channel 41 to the outlet 7.
- a force equilibrium is established, which is determined on the one hand by the pressure in the outlet chamber 40 and on the other hand by the force of the spring 27 acting on the control membrane 25. If the pressure at the outlet 7 increases, this also leads via the channel 41 to an increase in pressure in the chamber 40 and thus to an increase in the diaphragm 25 and the closing body 24, so that a part of the control pressure also passes through the passage 32 and in this case the channel 41 is blown off.
- This pressure reduction in the control pressure chamber 34 results in a movement of the closing body 10 of the main valve in the direction of a lower throughput and thus to a lower outlet pressure.
- the magnetic drive 15 is separated from the supply voltage, so that the closing spring 21 closes the solenoid valve 18, 22.
- the pressure still present in the control pressure chamber 34 at this time is reduced via the throttle point 39 and 44 and the channel 43 to the outlet, so that the closing spring 13 brings the main valve 9, 10 into the closed position, because on the end 12 of the valve rod 11 from the membrane 35 no more force is applied in the opening direction.
- the same reference numerals are used. While the embodiment according to FIG. 1 achieves the main valve opening without delay, in the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 to 5 the gas supply to the outlet 7 is gradually increased. In a first step, a minimum gas quantity sufficient to ignite the burner is released, which is then increased to the desired setpoint after a predetermined delay time. Such a gradual activation of the burner is known per se.
- DE-AS 15 50 293 shows such a gas control device, although, as in the aforementioned DE-OS 30 44 678, the main valve and pressure regulator have separate membranes and the step-by-step activation is carried out in a completely different way from the present invention, namely achieved by using a further additional membrane and a switchable setpoint spring in the pressure regulator.
- a delay-free opening of the gas control valve for the minimum amount of gas required for ignition is particularly necessary for burners without a continuously lit pilot flame, for example in burners with direct spark ignition or intermittently switched pilot burner of importance.
- Delaying the supply of the full amount of gas to the main burner ensures a more uniform, non-deflagration-free ignition of the burner, because during the delay time the ignition of the burner is initially waited through all burner openings or burner nozzles and only then is the passage opened to full gas throughput when all the flames are already burning.
- the gas control device according to FIGS. 3 to 5 additionally has an auxiliary valve 50 in the connecting channel 43, the closing body 51 of which is connected to a membrane 53 via a pin 52 and is pushed away from the valve seat 55 by an opening spring 54.
- the chamber 56 below the membrane 53 is connected to the ambient pressure via a channel 57, while the pressure prevailing at the outlet 7 of the gas control device acts on the upper side of the membrane 53.
- the auxiliary valve 50 is therefore open.
- the valve seat 55 has a radial notch 58, the function of which corresponds to the throttle 44 in the embodiment according to FIG. 1, ie primarily serves to reduce the pressure in the control pressure chamber 34 when the gas control device is switched off.
- the magnetic valve 18, 22 closes.
- the auxiliary valve 50 is also closed, and the pressure in the control pressure chamber 34 is reduced via the throttle point 39, the prechamber 38, the connecting channel 43 and the throttle point 58 to the outlet 7. If the pressure falls below a predetermined value, the auxiliary valve 50 opens, as a result of which the residual pressure disappears more quickly.
- the main valve 9, 10 closes, and finally the diaphragm plate 37 lifts off the end 12 of the valve rod 11 and returns to the closed position shown in FIG. 3.
- This embodiment of the gas control device can experience a further embodiment in that, as indicated in FIG. 3a, an adjustable throttle 61 is inserted into the passage 60 between the prechamber 38 and the connecting channel 43, the actuating pin 62 of which extends through the cover plate 20 in a sealed manner. This allows the minimum pressure p. change, for example reduce to a value P 1.
- the setting pin 62 is sealed with an O-ring 63.
- the adjustable throttle 61 is provided in the passage 60, while the auxiliary valve 50 is removed at the outlet of the connecting channel 43, that is to say the connecting channel 43 is open toward the outlet 7. This means, based on the curve representation in FIG.
- auxiliary channel 43 remains open at all times, that is to say the auxiliary channel is not closed at time t 3 .
- the maximum control pressure achievable in the control chamber 34 is thus reduced because pressure is constantly reduced via the connecting channel 43.
- the reduction in the maximum control pressure in the control pressure chamber 34 means that the main valve 9, 10 cannot be fully opened and the outlet pressure can only reach a lower maximum value, for example P2 . This means that the Desired output pressure is only available with a lower gas flow.
- auxiliary valve 50 When an auxiliary valve 50 is used, on the other hand, it also works in the connecting channel as a control valve, as a result of which the pressure P min is kept largely constant during the delay time from t 0 to t 2 .
- the action on the closing body 18 of the solenoid valve by the inlet pressure in the closing direction means additional protection of the servo pressure regulator and saves the formation of the solenoid valve as a changeover valve with a second valve seat.
- the gas control device With the setting throttle 61, the gas control device can be converted, for example, to different types of gas, such as natural gas, town gas, and liquid gas.

In the drawings, only the parts of a gas control device essential for explaining the invention are shown. For example, both the connections and setting means for supplying the pilot burner and the normally provided ignition safety valve, which blocks the entire gas supply when the flame is extinguished, have been omitted. The housing consists in all embodiments of a
On the
The pressure regulator is designed as a membrane pressure regulator. For this purpose, it has a
The course of the outlet pressure at
Conversely, if the pressure at the
To switch off the gas control device, the
Insofar as the components of the second embodiment of the gas control device to be described below with reference to FIGS. 3 to 5 correspond to those of FIG. 1, the same reference numerals are used. While the embodiment according to FIG. 1 achieves the main valve opening without delay, in the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 to 5 the gas supply to the
In addition to the
Another difference from the previously described embodiment is that when the
- if the
18, 22 opens at time t 0 , a minimum gas quantity predetermined by the free cross section of the auxiliary valve reaches thesolenoid valve outlet 7 via thechamber 38, the connectingchannel 43 and the openedauxiliary valve 50. The pressure thus rises to the minimum value P almost without delay min on. At the same time, gas flows via thethrottle point 39 into thecontrol pressure chamber 34 and begins to bend thediaphragm 35 downward against the force of thespring 59. As long as thediaphragm plate 37 is not yet in contact with theend 12 of thevalve rod 11, this state of supplying the minimum pressure to theoutlet 7 is maintained. If at the time t 2 thediaphragm 35 is bent so far down that the diaphragm plate 37 (see FIG. 4) abuts theend 12 of thevalve rod 11, then the 9, 10 begins to open, as a result of which the pressure at themain valve outlet 7 increases further. With this increase in pressure, which also acts on thediaphragm 53 of the auxiliary valve, thisauxiliary diaphragm 53 is increasingly arched downward against the force of thespring 54 and moves the closingbody 51 in the direction of theseat 55 of theauxiliary valve 50. When a certain outlet pressure is reached Ph at time t 3 , the auxiliary valve 50 (cf. FIG. 5) is completely closed and the connectingchannel 43 is blocked except for thethrottle point 58. Thereafter, the gas control device operates in the same manner as previously described with reference to FIG. 1. The maximum gas quantity or the maximum outlet pressure p max is determined by the setting of the pressure regulator with the aid of thescrew 31. Changes in the inlet or outlet pressure are corrected as described.
When the
This embodiment of the gas control device can experience a further embodiment in that, as indicated in FIG. 3a, an
When an
