Description

The invention relates to a wooden shelf with height-adjustable shelves, consisting of at least two side parts, each with two rigidly connected vertical struts with a rectangular profile and an open in the direction of the opposite strut longitudinal groove into which a guide and support pin of the shelves can engage, the two vertical struts of the Partially connected by horizontal struts that are anchored in the longitudinal groove of the vertical struts.

Such a wooden shelf is already known from DE-U-7 930 222.0.

The well-known wooden shelf is characterized by high stability, because an additional stiffening of the fully assembled wooden shelf is achieved by the support pins of the shelves engaging in the longitudinal groove of the vertical struts. This high stiffening effect due to the shelves now enables further training, which leads to additional advantages over the known wooden shelf. So it happens that an existing wooden shelf should be placed in another place where a lower or greater height of the overall arrangement is desired. The known wooden shelf does not allow this change in the height of the wooden shelf. However, a shelf with shelves is known from GB-A-928 208, which has two frame elements arranged one above the other, which have butt joints with tongue and groove locking in the area of the two vertical struts, formed by elaborate profiled frame cross struts made of metal. This training is unsuitable for a wooden shelf of the type mentioned.

The object of the invention is to design the wooden shelf of the type mentioned in such a way that it is possible to change the height in stages without substantial additional effort, without the overall structure being lost in sufficient stability.

This object is achieved in accordance with the characterizing part of the main claim in that the side parts consist of at least two frame elements arranged one above the other, which have butt joints with tongue and groove locking in the area of the two vertical struts, that the tongue and groove locking of the open longitudinal groove is formed in the direction of the opposite vertical strut, and that the tongue of the tongue and groove lock is formed by a horizontal strut protruding beyond the two end faces of the vertical struts on at least one end of the frame element.

With this arrangement, a wooden shelf construction is achieved which can be varied in steps in terms of its height, the step corresponding to the height of the frame element.

Due to the tongue and groove locking, the rigidity of the stacked frame elements in conjunction with the shelves, which also contribute to stabilization, is sufficient for all intended uses for such wooden shelves. The construction also allows several side parts to be placed side by side in the usual way, so that entire walls can be filled with wooden shelves.

It should also be mentioned that other advantages can also be achieved by using frame elements for the construction of side parts. a. a reduction in the pack size of folded shelves, as well as the possibility of using relatively short wooden slats for the construction of the wooden shelves according to the invention or, in particular, their frame elements, so that manufacturing cost advantages can also be made possible.

Of particular advantage is the significantly increased flexibility and adaptability of the wooden shelf to z. B. certain space conditions, for example, doors, windows, wall recesses and the like can be converted in the simplest way without the need for side parts of different lengths to be made and kept in stock or cut on the spot to length, which also under Circumstances could lead to strength problems.

Gebrauchsmuster bereits Verwendung finden. Auch dies verbilligt die Herstellung. The arrangement according to the invention results in a modular modular system with the simplest tongue and groove connections that can be adjusted without the use of expensive woodworking machines, so that, for example, production systems can continue to be used for the production of wooden shelves according to the above-mentioned. Utility models are already in use. This also makes production cheaper.

Appropriate developments of the subject matter of the invention are taught in subclaims.

The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments which are illustrated in the drawings.

Fig. 1 shows a plan view of two 'provided for the construction of the side part of a wooden shelf according to the invention frame elements 10, each consisting of two spaced parallel strut elements 12, which at one end by a first (upper) horizontal strut element 14 and at the other end are rigidly connected to one another by a second (lower) horizontal bracing element 15.

As can be seen in the two detailed views aa and bb and the view VIII-VIII (see FIG. 8), the vertical strut element 12 has a rectangular profile and a longitudinal groove 18 which is open in the direction of the opposite vertical strut element and into which a guide and support pin 20 is provided Shelves 22 can engage, which is held by a pin 26 inserted through a bore 24 in the vertical strut elements 12 and crossing the longitudinal groove.

As is clear from FIG. 1, the upper and lower end faces of the two frame elements 10 shown in FIG. 1 are designed such that when the frame elements 10 are placed one on top of the other in the area of the two vertical struts, 12 butt joints with tongue and groove interlocks occur, wherein the groove.of the tongue / groove lock is formed by the longitudinal groove 18 which is open in the direction of the opposite vertical strut element 12, while the tongue of the tongue / groove lock is formed by one on at least one end of the frame element 10 (according to FIG. 1 it is the lower end) arranged, which extends beyond the end faces 28 of the vertical strut elements 12 and forms a horizontal strut element 15.

Accordingly, the frame element 10 is provided at its other (according to FIG. 1 upper) end with a horizontal strut element 14 which springs back with respect to the ends 30 of the vertical strut elements 12 by a dimension 32 which is equal to or preferably slightly larger than the dimension 34, so that the horizontal strut element 15 at the other end of the frame element 10 projects beyond the corresponding end faces 28 of the vertical strut elements 12.

This means that the two frame elements 10 shown in FIG. 1 can be plugged onto one another in such a way that locking occurs in both horizontal directions, the abutting horizontal strut elements 14, 15 of the two frame elements 10 either abutting one another exactly or only a small distance from one another have so that they can be connected to one another, for example, by means of one or two wood screws 36. Other connecting devices such as machine screws, clamps, gluing and the like are of course also possible. Alternatively, a pin 26 through corresponding bores 24 a, 24 b could also serve to lock the two frame elements 10 together after they have been plugged together.

It is clear that other tongue and groove devices can be used, such as the usual round cross-section wooden dowels that z. B. in the end faces 28, 30 of the vertical strut elements 12 or in the horizontal strut elements 14, 15. However, the first-mentioned embodiment is particularly easy to manufacture and also particularly stable.

It should not be left unmentioned that the end faces 28, 30 of the vertical strut elements 12 do not necessarily have to be flat, as is shown in FIG. 1, but can also have a matching profile, such as a semicircular profile or a semicircle and flat surface composite profile or another profile, the mutually facing end faces 28, 30 will of course have such a profile that they match each other. Such profiling could lead to a further increase in stabilization, but naturally complicates the manufacture.

Instead of only placing two frame elements 10 on top of one another, as shown in FIG. 1, three or more such frame elements can of course also be used to form a side part, see reference number 38 in FIG. 7, which represents a side part composed of three frame elements 10. FIG. 7 shows a wooden shelf 42, in which, according to the embodiment shown, a door and an image area are converted, a side part 40 consisting of only one frame element 10 and a side part 39 consisting of two frame elements 10 also being used.

For the frame elements 10 resting on the floor, an additional part could be provided to reduce the surface pressure and to improve the appearance, which can be seen in FIG. 1 at the lower end of the lower frame element 10. It is a supplementary piece 44, as shown consisting of two foot elements 46 having the same profile as the vertical strut elements 12, which are connected to one another by a strut 48 constructed similarly to the horizontal strut element 14. Alternatively, the foot elements 46 can also have a length such that they terminate exactly with the lower horizontal strut element 15 of the frame element 10 and form the support surface of the side part with this. According to yet another alternative, however, the frame element could also be modified such that it forms a flat surface at the bottom, as shown in FIG. 6. The only disadvantage is that a frame element other than the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 would have to be manufactured and kept in stock. However, one could also win this frame element from the regular frame element according to FIG. 1 by simply over the end face 28 of the vertical strut elements 12 projecting part of the horizontal strut element 15 is cut off, so that the component 15 a of FIG. 6 results.

Similarly, it could also be advantageous for optical reasons to design the top frame element 10 of a side part in such a way that there are no ends of vertical strut elements 12 extending beyond the horizontal strut element 14, as can be seen in FIG. 5. Here, too, either a corresponding other embodiment of a frame element 10 could be in stock, or the existing ends of the vertical strut elements 12 could simply be cut off, so that the embodiment of FIG. 5 results.

It is clear that the frame elements 10, as shown in Fig. 1 or in Fig. 5 or 6, can also be used in reverse order, i. that is, the end faces 30 of the frame member 10 shown in Fig. 1 - could serve as floor support surfaces, while the end faces 28 would be directed upward.

Fig. 2 clearly shows how the vertical strut elements 12 are connected by means of the horizontal strut elements 14, in that the respective end 48 of the horizontal strut element 14 is received in the longitudinal groove 18 of the associated vertical strut element 12 and glued there and / or by means of a wire pin 50 or else to others known way is anchored. It also contributes to an increase in stability if the end 48 received by the groove 18 springs back in relation to the central part, so that stabilizing contact shoulders 52 result.

Although a high degree of stability has already been achieved by the measures already described, the stability can be increased still further by providing an additional stabilizing bar, which in particular covers the joint 44 by two frame elements 10 and is arranged such that it has both abutting ends of the vertical strut elements 12 of these frame elements 10 is connected, see the reference number 58, which in FIG. 3 represents screws which connect the stabilizing bar 56 via the joint 54 to both the vertical strut element 12 of the upper frame element and the vertical strut element 12 of the lower frame element.

It is advantageous if the stabilizing bar 56 has a vertical width 60 and such an arrangement that the vertical extent 62 of the two abutting horizontal strut elements 14, 15 are essentially covered, as can also be seen in FIG. 3. The vertical strut 56 also expediently has a shoulder 64 abutting the vertical strut element 12.

The new type of wooden shelf results in a modular modular system that has considerable advantages over the wooden shelf known from the utility model mentioned at the beginning, without additional woodworking machines being required, so that the tongue and groove connection required for connecting the individual frame elements can be produced in existing machining facilities without changing the production method is. In particular, no additional material is required. Nevertheless, there are very versatile and basically unlimited stacking options for the individual elements of the modular modular system with sufficient stability. the tongue and groove connection according to the invention compared to conventional round dowel connections, which would normally have to be installed in the end wood, with the risk of the holes drifting in the end wood, result in advantages in terms of manufacturing accuracy, stability and manufacturing costs.

With regard to the dimensions of the frame element, a width of 30-40 cm and a height of approximately 45 cm have been found to be particularly advantageous. dimensions based on conventional shelving systems have also been proven.
