Description

The invention relates to a device according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Devices of the type mentioned are generally known. For example, a storage device for data carriers is described in European patent application 0054327, in which the data carriers are fed to a storage container from below by feed rollers. The lower edge of the individual data carrier is redirected over one of these rollers. The storage device contains a removable storage compartment which, if necessary, can be inserted into a rear position and, after rotation by 180 °, into a front position. The plug-in bearings provided for this purpose are arranged symmetrically to the common tangential plane of the feed rollers. For the correct deflection of the data carrier in the direction determined by the position of the storage compartment, the storage device has a lever arrangement which is pivoted into the predetermined position by the storage compartment.

An automatic filing device is also known from IBM, Technical Disclosure Bulletin, Vol. 23, No. 7b, Dec. 1980, pages 3077/3078, in which the single sheets to be written are fed to a printing area and are initially described there completely. After leaving the printing area, they are gripped by feed rollers which accelerate the paper sheet so that after leaving the paper transport rollers it settles behind a storage threshold of the paper storage container. The storage container, which is separate from the paper transport rollers, can be swiveled according to the desired storage direction.

The arrangement of stationary paper transport rollers at a fixed distance makes it difficult to insert the single sheet to be deposited. The transport rollers have to be moved during the actual printing process, which can lead to tension between the transport rollers and the platen roller and thus to poor print quality. This is especially true when the printed image is still damp when it gets into the area of the paper transport rollers.

The object of the invention is to provide a functionally reliable storage device for sheet-like recording media for printing devices of the type mentioned at the outset, with which the sheet-like recording media can be transported easily and safely into the storage container and stored there.

This object is achieved in a device of the type mentioned at the outset according to the characterizing part of the first claim.

Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

The fact that one of the transport rollers lying next to one another is firmly supported, while the adjacent transport roller arranged next to it can be pivoted away by means of a pivoting device, it is possible to pivot the neighboring transport roller during the printing process so that the single sheet can be more easily pushed into the storage container . This results in a wide insertion opening. The transport rollers are only brought together during the actual storage after the printing process has ended and the transport rollers then lift the single sheet into the storage container.

In a printing device, not shown here in detail, for. B. a data printer, a write head 1 is moved in the write mode line by line along a tensioned over a platen 2 recording medium 3. Single sheets are used as recording media, which are transported with the help of the motor-driven platen roller 2 from back to front through a paper guide 4 in accordance with the progress of the writing operation. Above the platen roller 2 there is a storage container 5 which serves to receive the printed single sheets and to stack them inside the container. For this purpose, two transport rollers 6/1, 6/2 arranged next to one another are provided in the output region of the platen roller above the platen roller and connected to the storage container. B. a belt 7 is coupled to the drive device of the platen roller 2 and is driven by this. The storage container 5 is supported with its housing 8 on the bearing axis 9 of the left driven transport roller and can be pivoted about this bearing axis 9. The transport rollers 6 are each arranged in pairs and, not visible from the sectional view, are each mounted on the edges of the storage container, so that the individual sheets can be transported without folds.

The storage container is now designed so that the single sheets transported in the storage container 5 can be stacked both in increasing and in falling order. For this purpose, the right transport roller 6/2 is pivotally mounted in the transport container about a pivot point 10. At the same time, the insertion of the single sheets into the container is also facilitated. The right transport roller 6/2 is supported via its swivel arm 11 on a spring 12 which is connected via a latch device 13 to a rotary magnet 14 actuating the latch device.

In the storage container 5, rotatably mounted flaps 15 are provided on the front and rear storage surfaces, which serve to support the paper storage.

The function of the storage device for single sheets is as follows. For storing the single sheets in increasing order, i.e. H. In a sequence in which the paper described first comes to lie at the lowest point after the paper stack has been removed from the storage container, the storage container is pivoted backward about the bearing axis 9 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. A single sheet 3 is transported from behind via the platen roller 2 to the writing point opposite the writing head 1. In order to be able to push the single sheet more easily into the storage container 5, the transport rollers 6/1 and 6/2 are pivoted apart via the latch device 13. so that there is a wide insertion opening 16. The single sheet is now pushed upwards into the storage container 5 in accordance with the rotation of the platen roller and in doing so abuts with its upper edge on the right flap 15/2 pivoted to the left and is deflected by the latter. The flaps are mounted so that, due to their gravity, they move into the various positions shown in FIGS. 1 and 3 by simply pivoting the storage container 5.

The pawl device 13, which pivots the transport rollers 6, is actuated via the rotary magnet 14, which in turn is supplied with a correspondingly polarized direct current 18 via a switch 17 from a direct voltage source 18 depending on the desired direction of rotation. The switch is controlled by the printer electronics via the print head 1 so that the transport rollers, as already described, are in the open state during the writing process. After completion of the printing process for the actual storage of the single sheet 3 in the storage container 5 via the switch 17, the rotary magnet 14 is controlled so that the right transport roller 6/2 engages under the action of the spring 12 on the left transport roller 6/1 and thereby pressure exerts on the record carrier inserted between the transport rollers, so that the single sheet 3 can be inserted into the storage container 5 by the frictional force emanating from the left transport roller 6/1.

In accordance with the pivoting position of the storage container 5 and with the desired storage in increasing order, the single sheet is deposited to the left, as shown in FIG. 2. This storage is primarily caused by the direction of rotation of the left transport roller 6/1. Additional support is provided by the right swivel flap 15/2, which is swiveled to the left.

Daraus ergibt sich, vom unteren Blatt aus betrachtet, eine fallende Reihenfolge der abgestapelten Einzelblätter.3 and 4, if the individual sheets are to be deposited in a descending order, the storage container is pivoted to the right. In this case, the individual sheets are deposited in such a way that the sheet described first is placed on the right-hand wall of the storage container 5 with the writing side facing the right-hand storage surface. The cut sheet described last is therefore after removing the cut sheet stack from the tray on the underside of the stack. From the bottom sheet, this results in a descending order of the stacked single sheets.

The design of the stacking device can be varied as desired in detail. So the flaps 15 z. B. be formed as a single pivotable flap in the center, the z. B. is pivoted over magnets. Instead of the pawl device that controls the right-hand transport roller, it is also possible to use electromagnets or similar drive devices directly. Of course, it is also possible to drive the transport rollers 6 independently of the drive of the platen roller 2.
