Description

The invention relates to an insole, in particular for sports shoes, consisting of a grid-like mesh or coarse fabric made of thick plastic threads.

Insoles of the type mentioned above have been known for a long time. They consist of a mesh or coarse fabric of preferably thermoplastic synthetic threads, the thickness of which is approximately 0.5 mm and which are consequently relatively stiff. By appropriate treatment, e.g. a heat treatment in which the plastic threads become somewhat plastic gives the threads in the fabric a wave shape, as a result of which the fabric is given a spatial structure of a certain thickness. Embodiments are also known in which additional loops of the plastic threads are produced in the fabric by special measures. As a result of the strength of the plastic threads, the insole maintains the spatial structure mentioned at least approximately even when loaded by the weight of a user, so that the underside of the foot of a user experiences a certain amount of ventilation, the sweat formation is reduced, and occurring foot sweat due to the grid structure of the insole is removed and does not remain in contact with the bottom of the foot.

A disadvantage of the known insoles of this type is that they are relatively hard and neither due to the stiffness required by them of compressing the spatial lattice structure. a cushion effect compared to the shoe bottom still have a shock-absorbing effect against bumps when they occur.

The invention is therefore based on the object of improving insoles of this type in such a way that they result in a cushioning effect and thus a more comfortable fit without impairing their ventilation and sweat-removing function.

According to the invention this is achieved in that at least two layers of the braid or coarse fabric lying one above the other are connected to one another at the edges to form an intermediate space and a flat cushion element can be inserted into the intermediate space at least in the ball and heel regions through an opening provided there.

The relatively flat, for example, only 1.5 to 2 mm thick cushion element may be made of a relatively hard pad material, for example foamed rubber or plastic having a Shore hardness of between 4o and 6 0 exist and still results in a relatively good cushioning effect. As a result of the flat design of the cushion element, the insole does not apply, or only insignificantly, and the cushion elements can be replaced after they have been used or after they have been soiled.

The possibility of using only relatively flat and also relatively hard cushion elements in the insole according to the invention is based on the fact that the upper and the support the lower fabric layer with the corrugations of the plastic threads on the cushion element, create a high surface pressure there and therefore penetrate deeply. Despite the hardness of the cushion elements, the user has the impression of a soft cushion, whereby practically the entire thickness of the cushion element is used for the deformation path.

The firm structure of the braid or coarse fabric of the layers making up the insole also means that, despite the local restriction of the cushion elements to the ball and heel area at the transition, there is no abrupt change which is noticeable to the user as an edge or pressure point. This can possibly be counteracted by thinning the upholstery elements on the edge.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the openings through which the cushion elements can be inserted into the intermediate space between the fabric layers are provided in the vicinity of the inner and outer edges of the insole. This means that there are two openings on the opposite edges, which, seen transversely to the sole, are aligned with one another. These openings are expediently created in that the edge-side connection of the two fabric layers of the insole is interrupted to a corresponding length.

  • Fig. 2 einen Schnitt längs der Linie II-II in Fig. 1.
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The drawings show:
  • Fig. 1 is a plan view of the insole, in which the upper fabric layer is shown partially broken off for clarity, and
  • 2 shows a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1st

The insole according to the invention is essentially formed by two layers 1 and 2 of a lattice-like braid or coarse fabric made of thick plastic threads. The thickness of the plastic threads is, for example, 0.4 to 0.6 mm; the material is preferably polyamide. A special heat treatment, in which the plastic threads of the braid have been heated to plasticity, is welded to each other at the contact points of the individual threads, so that layers 1 and 2 have a relatively robust spatial structure. Braid or coarse fabric of this type is known and therefore need not be explained in more detail here.

The layers 1 and 2 are connected to one another in a non-detachable manner by heat welding along an edge 3. However, the connection, i.e. the welding edge 3, along the areas 4, 5 on the outer edge or inner edge of the insole and along the area 6 in the heel area. As a result, corresponding openings are formed through which flat cushion elements 7 and 8 are inserted into the interior space between the layers 1 and 2. The cushion elements 7, 8 have the shape shown in Fig. 1, i.e. they extend over the entire width of the insole, but are slightly offset in width at their end regions, so that shoulders 9 are formed. These serve to secure the cushion elements 7, 8 against slipping. A further securing is not necessary, since when the insole is arranged inside the shoe, the cushion elements 7, 8 are prevented from slipping sideways by the wall of the shoe.

The cushion elements 7, 8 are e.g. made of foamed rubber or polyurethane with a Shore hardness between 40 and 60 and have a thickness of about 1.5 to. 2 mm. They extend over the heel and ball area so that sufficient cushioning is achieved, i.e. they are approximately 7 to 8 cm in length.

Instead of the lateral openings 4, 5 or the heel-side opening 6, an opening provided in the surface of the layers 1, 2 can enable the cushion elements 7, 8 to be introduced between the layers 1, 2. It goes without saying that this opening will be provided in the layer 1, 2 which faces the shoe bottom when the insole is used.
