Abstract

Procédé de fonctionnement d'un moteur à combustion interne à trois temps possédant un cylindre (1) et un piston (2) exécutant un mouvement de va-et-vient à l'intérieur du cylindre, ce piston possédant une bielle (3) fixée de manière pivotante au piston, l'extrémité opposée de la bielle étant fixée de manière rotative à un vilebrequin (4) de manière à le faire tourner sous l'effet du mouvement de va-et-vient du piston. Le cycle de fonctionnement du moteur comprend un temps d'aspiration, un temps d'expansion et un temps de détente. Selon l'invention, le temps d'aspiration s'étend uniquement sur une fraction de la course totale du piston, un allumage instantané du mélange de carburant aspiré à l'intérieur du cylindre étant effectué. L'expansion qui s'en suit produit son effet pendant la partie restante du mouvement du piston vers la position d'extrémité inférieure dans le cylindre.
