  • wires 138 are inserted into the contact through the funnel, the foot pedal released, the wire bottomed in the contact, the contact crimped to the wires, the wire end with contact removed, and the plunger returned to starting position. Exhaust air, from the cylinder controlling the plunger, is directed up into the alignment hole of the guide block to blow out any crimped contact that is not connected to a wire end.

Claims (11)

1. Einrichtung (10) zum Krimpfen eines Kontakts (14) an ein Drahtende (20), umfassend: eine Einrichtung zum automatischen Zuführen (12) einer Aufeinanderfolge von Drahtkontakten zu einem Bezugsloch (28) in einem Führungsblock (16), eine Krimpfeinrichtung (18), die über dem Bezugsloch (28) ausgerichtet ist, gekennzeichnet durch eine Einrichtung (50, 52) zum Anheben eines ausgerichteten Kontakts nach aufwärts in den Krimpfer, einen Trichter (54), der in zwei Teile (58, 60) geteilt ist und axial über dem Krimpfer ausgerichtet ist, sowie dadurch, daß eine Einrichtung (120,122) zum Zusammenbewegen der Teile des Trichters zum Ermöglichen des Einführens eines Endes eines Drahts in eine Büchse (136) des Kontakts und zum Zusammenbewegen der Teile (58, 60) des Trichters (54) zum Ermöglichen des Einführens eines Endes eines Drahts (20) in die Büchse (136) des Kontakts und zum Auseinanderbewegen der Teile (58, 60) des Trichters zum Ermöglichen, daß der Draht in dem Kontakt den Boden erreicht, vorgesehen ist, und eine Einrichtung (160) zur Betätigung des Krimpfers zum Verbinden des Drahts, der den Boden erreicht hat, mit dem Kontakt.
2. Einrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Einrichtung zum Anheben eines ausgerichteten Kontakts aufwärts in den Krimpfer einen Kolben (50) umfaßt, der axial in dem Bezugsloch (28) ausgerichtet ist, und eine Einrichtung (52) zum Hin- und Herbewegen des Kolbens.
3. Einrichtung nach Anspruch 2, gekennzeichnet durch eine elastische Einrichtung (34,40) zum Ausrichten des Kontakts in dem Bezugsloch (28) und eine Einrichtung (46) zum Bewegen der elastischen Ausrichtungseinrichtung zur Seite, wenn der Kolben (50) den Kontakt aufwärts in Position bewegt.

Einrichtung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die elastische Einrichtung (34, 40) zum Ausrichten des Kontakts einen schwenkbar angebrachten Teil (34) umfaßt, der so geformt ist, daß er an der Seite des Kontakts anliegt und denselben stützt, und ein elastisches Teil (40), welches den schwenkbar angebrachten Teil in Position hält und so angrebracht ist, daß es dem Teil ein Herausschwenken aus dem Bezugsloch (28) ermöglicht, wenn der Kolben (50) angehoben wird.

Einrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Einrichtung zum Bewegen der Trichterteile (58, 60) folgendes umfaßt: ein Paar von parallelen Stäben (66, 68), von denen jeder eine Gleitpassung durch einen ersten Teil (58) des Trichters hat und mit einem zweiten Teil verbunden ist, wobei jeder Stab eine Kompressionseinrichtung (96, 98) im zweiten Teil (60) zum elastischen Auseinanderdrücken der beiden Teile hat, und eine Kolbeneinrichtung (108, 110) in dem ersten Teil zum Überwinden der Kompressionseinrichtung (96, 98) und zum Zusammenziehen der beiden Teile.

Einrichtung nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Kompressionseinrichtung (96, 98) folgendes umfaßt: eine erste Ausnehmung (92, 94) um den Stab in dem zweiten Teil (60) und benachbart dem ersten Teil (58), und eine Kompressionsfeder (96, 98) in dieser Ausnehmung (92,94), die sich aus der ersten Ausnehmung heraus erstreckt; und daß die Kolbeneinrichtung folgendes umfaßt: eine zweite Ausnehmung (104, 106) in dem ersten Teil auf der Seite, die von dem zweiten Teil entfernt ist, einen Kolben (108, 110) um den Stab in der zweiten Ausnehmung, wobei der Kolben eine erste Dichtung (112) und eine zweite Dichtung (114) um den Stab herum und am Boden der zweiten Ausnehmung hat; und eine Einrichtung zum Einführen eines Strömungsmittels unter Druck durch den Stab und in den Raum zwischen den Dichtungen.

Einrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet durch einen Ausschnappklotz (38) in dem Führungsblock, der so angeordnet ist, daß er an dem Kontakt anliegt, wenn dieser in dem Bezugsloch (28) ist, wobei der Klotz (38) eine elastische Einrichtung (40) hat, die dahingehend wirkt, daß sie ein schwenkbar angebrachtes Anlageende gegen den Kontakt hält, wobei das Ende so geformt ist, daß es durch den Kolben (50) zur Seite bewegt wird, wenn sich dieser zum Anheben des Kontakts nach aufwärts bewegt.
8. Einrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Kolben (50) so bemessen ist, daß er den Querschnitts des Bezugslochs (28) ausfüllt.
9. Verfahren zum Krimpfen eines Kontakts an ein Drahtende, gekennzeichnet durch die folgenden Schritte: Zuführen einer Reihe von Kontakten (14) in ein Ausrichtungsloch (28) in einem Führungsblock (16), Anheben des ausgerichteten Kontakts in dem Ausrichtungsloch nach aufwärts in einen Krimpferkopf (10), Einführen eines Drahtendes (20) durch einen Führungstrichter (54) in den Kontakt, wobei der Trichter in zwei Teile geteilt und axial über dem Krimpfer ausgerichtet ist, Öffnen des Trichters (14) und den Draht (20) in dem Kontakt dazu bringen, daß er den Boden erreicht, und Krimpfen des Kontaks an den Draht.
10. Verfahren nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man eine Ausrichtungsstütze vorsieht, wenn der Kontakt (14) das Ausrichtungsloch (28) erreicht, und daß man die Ausrichtungsstütze zur Seite bewegt, wenn der Kontakt (14) in dem Ausrichtungsloch (28) angehoben wird.
11. Verfahren nach Anspruch 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man einen positionierten Kontakt (14) mit einem Ende eines Ausschnappklotzes (38) hält, und daß man das Ende des Klotzes (38) zur Seite bewegt, während man den Kontakt (14) nach aufwärts in einen Krimpferkopf bewegt.
