Description

The invention relates to an electrical disconnector or earthing switch, each consisting of switching knives movable around a pivot point and knife contacts with a central slot open on one side, the side walls of which form resilient current contacts, which in the closed state of the switch laterally on the perpendicular to the knife contact and in the switching knife engaging the slot.

Disconnectors constructed in this way are generally known and, for. B. in DE-A-23 12900 in Figs. 12 to 15. When the disconnector or earthing switch is open, the knife contact is approximately parallel to the switching knife, the pivot point about which the switching knife is moved lying above or below the range of the current contacts of the knife contact. The rotation of the switching knife when the switch closes results in a movement of the upper end of the switching knife towards the knife contact, into which it enters the central slot from the front side until it, perpendicular to the knife contact, reaches the end position in the area of the current contacts. Due to this special position of the switch blade relative to the blade contact, when a current flows, forces arise which want to push the blade out of the blade contact and which, since the middle slot of the blade contact is open on the end face lying next to the current contacts, only little resistance, namely only opposes the friction of the current contacts. In particular in the event of a short circuit, there is a risk that the forces exerted by the current loop will be greater than the friction of the current contacts resiliently applied to the switch blade, which is why external interlocks are sometimes also provided.

The invention is therefore based on the object, in an electrical disconnector or earthing switch with a blade contact connection, to prevent the switching blade from being pressed out of the blade contact due to the possible current forces in the event of short circuits.

To solve this problem, an electrical disconnector or earthing switch of the type described at the outset is designed in accordance with the invention in such a way that the switch blade in the open position of the disconnector or earthing switch is approximately opposite the blade contact and when the switch is closed from the closed side of the blade contact the slot is inserted and led to the area of the current contacts and that an insulating stop is arranged below the knife contact, against which the switching knife rests in the closed position.

The switch blade is therefore no longer in the open position of the disconnector or earthing switch on the side of the blade contact facing away from the pivot point, as is customary hitherto, but the blade contact and switch blade lie approximately opposite one another. H. they are at an angle to each other or above or below or next to each other. This results in a reversal of the direction of rotation of the switching knife in relation to the position of the fixed knife contact for the switching movement, and it is achieved that the switching knife moves from the closed side of the knife contact into its central slot. The stop arranged below the knife contact, against which the switch blade comes to rest when the disconnector is in the closed position, prevents the switch knife from being unscrewed due to the current forces caused by the loop effect. In addition, the stop made of insulating material still supports the knife contact so that it cannot bend.

An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing. Fig. 1 shows the closed position of the circuit breaker seen from the side, Fig. 2 shows a top view of the knife contact.

The fixed blade contact 1 of an electrical isolating switch has a central slot 2 which is open on the end face 4 of the blade contact 1 opposite the attachment to the switch housing 3. There are also the resiliently designed current contacts 5, which in the closed position of the isolating switch come to rest against the switch blade 6. The switching knife 6 is movable about the pivot point 7 and is in the open position of the disconnector in the position indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 1 parallel above the knife contact 1.

When the disconnector is closed, the switch blade 6 moves in the direction of rotation indicated by the arrow 8 towards the blade contact 1, in the slot 2 of which it enters from the closed side 9. The entry direction of the switching knife 6, which runs from behind, is indicated in FIG. 2 by the arrow 10. In its end position, the switch blade 6 is perpendicular to the blade contact 1 when the disconnector is closed and bears against a stop 11 made of insulating material which is arranged below the blade contact 1. This stop 11 made of insulating material, which does not hinder the switching movement of the switching knife 6, supports the knife contact 1, so that it does not bend and also prevents the forces indicated in FIG. 1 by the arrows 12, which are exerted by the current loop, particularly in the event of a short circuit, the frictional forces of the current contacts 5 can exceed, the switch blade 6 can unscrew from the blade contact 1.
