Abstract

A board intended to be used as a writing surface is provided with a frame and with a complementary border constituting one inseparable entity. The frame is continuous all around the periphery with a cross-section comprising three flanges. One flange is external to the other two, a second flange is equipped with a rim positioned behind the board and bearing against a foot formed on the complementary border, and the third flange bears against the front face of the board.

Description

The present invention relates to a table, or a set of tables, each provided with a frame and more particularly intended to be used as a writing surface and / or incidentally when it is of the enameled metal type, it can also be intended to adhere magnetized objects or comprising a magnet, and by means of these, non-magnetized objects such as for example sheets of paper.

We already know different embodiments of framed tables that can be used flat or even more generally intended to be placed against a wall and meeting the indicated functions; it is always either a frame made of several elements, which is fitted onto the edge of the table and which is then joined together in different ways, for example collage and other means of adhesion, or else an assembly which calls upon a certain number of accessory parts, nails, screws, brackets, etc ..., that is to say, one places the painting by the back of a framing of a part, that -this in this case a beat against which we will maintain the table in using a certain number of accessory parts, shims, nails, screws, etc ...

To make a framed picture according to the invention, no collage is used, and / or accessory fixing parts, but simply, the picture is placed and inserted from the rear into the frame and either -this alone maintains and encloses the edge of the table, or the frame maintains and encloses the edge of the table together with a frame coming from him, from the rear, to be inserted into the frame to form an inseparable whole.

To this end, the framed picture according to the invention is characterized in that the framing in one peripheral piece has a profile which has three branches, two branches of which are angularly placed relative to one another, of which one or a part in continuation of it, serves as a support for one face of the table and the other branch of which is provided inwardly, with a flange which can bear directly on the other face of the table , or on the leg of a complementary frame which in this case rests on the other side of the table, and that at least partially, one of the branches of the frame offers a certain elasticity, so that the frame, after the table has been inserted, tightens on it.

The fact that the table is perfectly enclosed in the frame is particularly advantageous, in fact it is therefore prevented from sliding in it.

The framed painting according to the invention includes a frame complementary rear, this one, like the rear face of the frame, being arranged so as to be able to meet for example the following different criteria: being able to hang it on a wall and this in both directions in the case where it is rectangular ; be able to use it flat, on a table for example; ability to hang different devices, for example a box, a hook, etc ... to hold and place for example a marker, a scrubber, ...; ability to hang a hinge on a first table to assemble a second and make a diptych, even a triptych.

Preferably, the framed table according to the invention is arranged so as to offer not one, but all of the criteria indicated above.

Referring to these various figures, there is represented by (1) the table itself a rigid enamelled sheet or other surface to be written, by (2) the frame which will appear on the side of the front face (la) of the table (1), as well as on the rear face (1b), by (3) the complementary frame which only appears on the rear face (1b) of the table (1).

The frame (2) comprises, as visible in profile (Figures 3, 3a, 4, 4a), at least two branches (2a, 2b) angularly placed relative to each other, one of which (2a ), provided with an extension (4), will serve as a support for the face (la) of the table and the other (2b), is provided towards the inside with a flange (5) resting on the 'other face (lb) of the table, under the tab (6) which is provided with the complementary frame (3), (Figures 3, 3a, 4, 4a), the latter resting in this case on the face (1b ) from table (1).

So that the table (1) can be inserted in the frame (2) or, in the case where a complementary frame (3) is provided and the tab (6) thereof must be inserted under the edge (5) of the frame and then be tightened there, it is necessary to be able to have a certain play in both directions more or less perpendicular to the table (1), arrow (7), as well as those more or less in the extension of the edge of the table (1), arrow (8), and therefore of a certain elasticity of at least certain parts of the frame (2) and / or possibly of a certain part of the frame complementary (3), if one is provided.

It should be noted that to insert the table (1) and / or the complementary frame (3), a certain elasticity and spacing must be provided; it is important that we ensure inversely, that after this insertion, there is a sufficiently strong return that to perfectly enclose the table (1), to also make the distance at rest, that is to say say without inserting the table between the line (or face) of support of the frame (2) on the front face (la) of the table and the line (or face) of support of the frame (2) or of the complementary frame (3) on the rear face (1b) of the table, that this distance is at least slightly less than the thickness of the table (1).

As soon as the frame (2) is made of a material having a certain elasticity, that is to say is in fact not sufficiently rigid, provision is made for the frame (2) to include a complementary branch in profile ( 2c) external and for its part, that the complementary frame (3), is of U-shaped profile, that is to say with two branches (3a, 3b) whose complementary branch (3b) is essentially intended to give rigidity to the complementary frame (3).

In its embodiment shown in FIGS. 2 to 5, we find both the profile of the frame (2) and the complementary frame (3) these complementary branches (2c) and (3b), but in addition, these two parts (2 and 3) are designed to ensure the perfect maintenance of the table (1), that is to say perfectly enclose it and form an inseparable whole, but also according to other considerations of use.

Thus, the frame (2), (Figures 2 to 5), comprises three branches, one (2a) at an angle to the other two (2b, 2c) and which ends in an extension (4) parallel to the outer surface (la) of the table (1), this extension (4) forms a small border serving as a stop for the use of a marker and therefore protects the frame (FIG. 1).

The two other branches (2b, 2c) are parallel to each other and braced in a certain number of places around the perimeter of the frame (2), which increases its rigidity and moreover, these spacers (9 ), (see Figure 2), will make it possible to produce a succession of cells (10).

For its part, the complementary frame (3) (FIGS. 2 to 5), in the form of a straight U, comprises two parallel branches (3a, .3b) which are fairly distant from each other, so as to provide the 'rear of the table, a band (11) peripheral, fairly wide, allowing to provide eyelets (12) in which we will be able to slide the attachment means (not shown).

To improve the rigidity of the complementary frame (3) and ensure its proper insertion into the frame (2), provision is made (Figure 2), in a number of places around its perimeter outside on determined lengths, legs (13) formed by a third branch (3c), parallel to the other two (3a, 3b) and branches (3c) which will each slide into a cell (10), that is that is to say between the branches (2c and 2b) of the frame (see Figures 3 and 4), so that both the complementary frame (3) and the frame (2) will constitute a massive assembly capable to withstand high service constraints. As perfectly visible in FIG. 2, a certain number of empty cells (10) are kept, in order to be able to introduce the tab (not shown) or more generally, a group, for example three aligned tabs, of the means attachment of an accessory or a hinge to add to the first framed painting a second (not shown).

At the four corners of the complementary frame (3), a space has been provided for buffers (14), (FIG. 2), pieces of elastic material which are just placed and fixed (for example gluing) in a cavity (15). of the same shape (Figure 5) provided in the complementary frame (3). These buffers (14), which are on the side of their outer faces (14a), (FIG. 5), in convex shape, have the function, on the one hand, of serving as a fulcrum for the framed painting and preventing that it cannot scratch the surface on which it is used, and on the other hand, prevent it from slipping if it is used flat, for example on a table, without being hung.

Furthermore, these elastic buffers (14) protrude slightly from the rear plane of the framed picture and therefore keep it perfectly in place when it is hung by two points (use of two eyelets 12) on a wall.

Of course, these buffers (14) can be of different shape and structure from that shown and for example they could be small rubber nipples with conical attachment tab.

Preferably, as visible in FIG. 2, the eyelets (12) are of elongated shape and provided with a round opening (12a), enlargement by which the head of the hooking means (for example screws) can be introduced, to then slide this head into the elongated and narrower part (12b) of the eyelet by lowering the framed table.

To ensure good stability, there is provided not a grommet (12) allowing a point of attachment to the upper horizontal part of the framed painting, but two grommets (12) halfway up the vertical sides of the framed painting and therefore by two attachment points. If the latter, as shown, is rectangular, an eyelet (12) is provided on each side, so that the framed painting can be hung both in the. sense of its length than its width.

In the case of a triptych and even more particularly of a diptych, it is expected that the framed painting, which is hung on the wall and painting on which a second hinge is mounted, includes a third point of attachment and therefore of additionally use from two eyelets (12) on the longitudinal sides, a third eyelet (12) on the lower side; to do this, as visible, the eyelet (12) provided therein has a second narrower part (12b ') in the vertical direction.

As visible and shown in dotted lines in FIG. 2, to reinforce the complementary frame, the two branches (3a, 3b) are connected by transverse spacers (16).

If a certain number of elements are provided to increase the rigidity of the frame (2) and of the complementary frame (3), such as the doubling of the branches (2b, 2c and 3a, 3b) of the spacers (9 and 16), etc ... conversely, to allow the insertion of the complementary frame (3) in the frame (2), provision has been made in certain places of the perimeter for the thinning of the branch (2a), (FIGS. 3, 4 and 5 ), and not in others (Figures 3a, 4a), the presence of the flange (5) and the tab (6), (Figures 3a, 4a) but not in others (Figures 3, 4 and 5).

These are details of implementation, whether one is considering it or not; The invention is therefore not limited to the embodiment described and shown and for example, the strip (11) of the complementary frame (3) can be used to adhere an adhesive strip thereto allowing attachment by this means of the framed table. to a wall; for aesthetic reasons, as can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, the four corners of the rectangular frame (2) are rounded without, therefore, that provision should be made for the same for the table (1) itself even, but, of course, we can provide many other forms.
