Abstract

1. An der zusätzlichen Gießöffnung muß die Kokille ebenfalls mittels eines Zwischenflanschs angeordnet sein, um ohne Abkühlen des Warmhalteofens im wesentlichen auf Umgebungstemperatur eine der Gießöffnungen stillegen oder diese Kokille nach entsprechender Leerung des Warmhalteofens gegen eine andere Kokille auswechseln zu können. Wenn alle Kokillen wegen Änderung oder Unbrauchbarkeit ausgewechselt werden müssen, wird der Warmhalteofen bis zum untersten Rand der untersten Gießöffnung entleert. Der Warmhalteofen ist im Querschnitt etwa quadratisch ausgebildet und hat auf drei Seiten je eine Gießöffnung 22 bzw. 23 bzw. 24. Jede der Gießöffnungen 22 bis 24 durchsetzt eine auf dem Ofenmantel 1 befestigte gußeiserne Frontplatte 4. An jeder der Frontplatten ist ein Zwischenflansch 5 (Fig. 3) mit Kokille 6 und Kühler 7 befestigt. An der Unterseite des Warmhalteofens ist ein am Ofenmantel 1 fest angeschweißter Flansch 8 zur Anbringung eines Induktors 9 vorgesehen. Auf der Oberseite des Warmhalteofens ist ein abnehmbarer Deckel 10 angeordnet, der mit einer feuerfesten Masse ausgegossen ist und einen Brennerstein 12 zur Aufnahme eines nicht dargestellten Brenners aufweist. Im unteren Bereich des Warmhalteofens ist eine Temperaturmeßstelle 13 vorgesehen, die ein Thermoetement.14 hat. Die Lage des Zwischenflanschs 5 ist auf der Frontplatte 4 mittels Paßstiften genau festgelegt. Der Bereich zwischen der Kokille 6 und der die Steine 2 bedeckenden Schicht 3 wird durch einen von einem Isolierkörper 16 umgebenen Zuführtrichter 17 überbrückt. Der Isolierkörper 16 besteht aus einer Isoliermasse und der Zuführtrichter 17 aus einer feuerfesten Masse. An der Stoßstelle zwischen der Mündung der Gießöffnung 22 oder 23 oder 24 und dem Zuführtrichter 17 sind die lichten Ausnehmungen jeweils gleich.
