Description

The invention relates to a set of building play elements provided with coupling members used to associate these elements with one another.

Dans cette réalisation, les logements ont été conçus de telle sorte que les parties sphériques ne peuvent entrer dans ces logements que par encliquetag et qu'il, y soient ainsi mointenusThe use of coupling members for building elements, these members consisting of a spherical part projecting from one of the elements and of a housing for this spherical part formed in another of the elements, is already known in oneself in several embodiments. Thus, in patent US-A = 3,822,499, construction elements of two different types have been described, namely "penetrating" dumbbell-shaped elements made up of two spherical parts linked together by a cylindrical intermediate part. and receptor elements of polyurethane foam cubic shape, having holes serving as a housing for the spherical parts in at least one of their external faces. In this embodiment, the housings have been designed in such a way that the spherical parts can only enter these housings by snap-fastening and that they are thus held there.

In the known embodiment, the receiving elements have such a shape that the penetrating elements, after assembly, have no freedom of movement. If two cubic parts have been combined by means of a single penetrating element, this penetrating element is completely enveloped by the cubic parts and no play between these parts is possible, the aim being to build a sports mat or a floating raft .

Par contre, le but de la présente invention est de concevoir un ensemble d'éléments de construction dans lequel les possibilites d'assemblage sont plus grandes et avec lequel ont peut réaliser un nombre très important de combinaisons servant de jeuOn the other hand, the aim of the present invention is to design a set of construction elements in which the possibilities of assembly are greater and with which we can make a very large number of combinations serving as a game.

To this end, the invention presents a set of construction or assembly play elements, comprising at least two types of elements - on the one hand, a typed penetrating element having at least two spherical parts joined by a part cylindrical and narrower intermediate, on the other hand, a typed receiving element having at least one housing for a spherical part of a penetrating element, this housing being designed so that a spherical part of a penetrating element can be tightened elastically by snapping into this housing. The assembly of elements according to the invention is characterized in that the receiving elements have the form of a single or multiple link, having at least two housings for the spherical parts of the penetrating elements at their opposite ends, this link being made up of flat parts in the form of H arranged parallel * element and opposite in pairs, each end of a branch of a part in H being elastically connected corresponding end of the branch envis-d-of the other part in H of the same pair, with the aid of intermediate pieces having the shape of a semicircle, in such a way that these intermediate pieces and the contiguous branches which they link together define housings for the spherical parts of a penetrating element.

Thanks to this form of receiving element, the different elements are well adapted to each other, and a very large number of combinations serving as a game can be produced.

Other advantages and particularities of the invention will appear from the description given below of some specific embodiments of the construction elements according to the invention.

Les figures 1 et 2 représentent deux formes d'exécution d'un élément pénétrant;Figures 1 and 2 show two embodiments of a penetrating element;

Lés figures 3, 4 et 5 représentent respectivement en perspective un élément récepteur, un élément pénétrant modifié et leur assemblage, la figure 5 comportant un arrachement partiel.Lés Figures 3, 4 and 5 respectively show in perspective a receiving element, a modified penetrating element and their assembly, Figure 5 having a partial cutaway.

Les figures 6, 7 et 8 sont une représentation graphique des dimensions relatives des éléments suivant les figures 3, 4 et 5.Figures 6, 7 and 8 are a graphic representation of the relative dimensions of the elements according to Figures 3, 4 and 5.

Figure 9 is an alternative embodiment. In the various figures, the same reference marks designate identical or analogous elements.

The penetrating element 2 shown in Figure 1 is provided with two spherical parts 7, which are integral with each other by means of an intermediate cylindrical part 17, so that between these parts 7 is formed an annular narrowing. The distance "a" between the centers of these spherical parts is approximately equal to the diameter of these.

In the embodiment of the figures 3, 4 and 5 a receiving element 1 is formed by a link which has at its two opposite ends housings 5 for the spherical parts 7 of a penetrating element 2.

This link 1 consists of two H-shaped parts, 9 and 10, parallel to each other, and spaced from each other by a distance which is a little less than the diameter of a spherical part 7, so that the latter can be blocked between the branches 11 and 12 of these two H-shaped parts, 9 and 10.

For this purpose, the branches 11 and 12 of the H-shaped part, 9, are elastically connected with the corresponding branches 11 and 12 of the H-shaped part, 10 which are opposite to them to form the housings 5 of the spherical parts. 7.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 5, only the free ends of the branches 11 and of the branches 12 of the two H-shaped parts, 9 and 10, are connected in pairs by means of curved intermediate pieces 13 which are located in the plane of the corresponding branches.

To facilitate the penetration of the penetrating elements 2, notches 6 can be provided in the curved parts 13, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 5.

It will also be noted that the surfaces delimited respectively by the upper arms 11 and the upper parts 13 on the one hand and by the lower arms 12 and the curved parts 13 on the other hand can be full and serve as advertising or other support.

Advantageously, at least some of the spherical parts 7 are provided with locking members which make it possible to limit the rotational movement of the spherical part concerned in a housing 5 of the receiving element.

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, a locking member of this type is formed by a circular shoulder 14 whose center is located on an axis perpendicular to that on which the centers of the two spherical parts 7 of l are located. penetrating element 2.

The height of the shoulder 14 is, at most, limited by the plane tangent to the spherical part 7, at the center of this shoulder; it can therefore possibly be lower.

In addition, the penetrating element according to Figures 4 and 5 has a cylindrical cavity 15 whose axis is located on the axis which connects the centers of the two spherical parts, this cavity opening at its two ends to the outer surface of these spherical parts 7.

In certain embodiments, the center of this shoulder can be located on the same axis as that which connects the centers of the two spherical parts.

In other cases, it is possible to provide, on the same spherical part 7, shoulders which are diametrically opposite one another.

In still other cases, it is possible to provide only a shoulder on one of the spherical parts.

The centers of the various shoulders can also be located on the same axial plane of the penetrating element or else the centers of the shoulders of one of the spherical parts can be in a plane perpendicular to the plane which contains the centers of the shoulders of the other spherical part.

In the embodiment according to Figures 4 and 5, there are provided on each of the spherical parts two shoulders whose centers are diametrically opposite one another and are located in the same axial plane.

The rotational movement of the penetrating element 2 relative to the receiving element 1 is limited as a function of the position of the locking member, more specifically of the shoulder 14, on the spherical part.

Thus, for example, according to FIG. 5, the penetrating element 2 can only be rotated on a single axis parallel to the spacers 16 of the H-shaped parts, 9 and 10. If the center of the shoulder is located on the 'axis which connects the centers of the spherical parts, that is to say on the same axis as the cavity 15, the penetrating element 2 can then rotate only around the axis of this cylindrical cavity.

It is obvious that what has just been said about the shoulders is applicable to all embodiments of the penetrating element, in particular to the embodiments shown in FIGS. 2 and 4.

In order to minimize the clearance between the various building elements connected to each other and thus obtain a precise sequence of these elements, and this with maximum possibilities of combination, it is important that the relative dimensions of the receiving elements and the penetrating elements meet specified conditions.

These dimensions are presented graphically in Figures 6, 7 and 8.

Thus, it is important that the external distance a between the H-shaped parts is approximately equal to the diameter of the spherical parts 7 and that the internal distance b between them is approximately equal to that of the intermediate part more narrow 17Located between the two consecutive spherical parts 7. In addition, the width of the H-shaped parts is approximately equal to the diameter of the spherical parts 7 and constitutes two housings 5 opposite one another to receive the spherical parts, the execution of the H-shaped parts. being such that the centers of the spherical parts are in these housings spaced from each other by a distance equal to their diameter.

La distance intérieure b entre les branches d,une même partie en forme de H est ét également à peu près égale au diamètre d'une partie intermédiaire cylindriqueThe internal distance b between the branches of the same H-shaped part is also approximately equal to the diameter of a cylindrical intermediate part

The space 18 between the spacer 16 and the base of the branches which are connected on one side to the latter has the shape of a semicircle whose radius corresponds approximately to that of the circular shoulder 14. The center 0 of this semicircle is located in the longitudinal plane of symmetry S 1 of the H-shaped parts, 9 and 10, perpendicular to the spacer 16 and at a distance from the middle thereof roughly equal to the radius of the parts spherical.

Les centres 0 et 0' se trouvent donc dans un même plan, parall*élément au plan de symétrie S2.Said curved intermediate pieces 13 also have roughly the shape of a semicircle whose radius is approximately equal to that of the circular shoulder 14 and whose center 0 'is located in the middle between the two H-shaped parts , 9 and 10, at a distance from the transverse plane of symmetry S2 approximately equal to the radius of the spherical parts. The centers 0 and 0 'are therefore in the same plane, parallel * element to the plane of symmetry S2.

The depth of the narrowing formed by the intermediate part 17 between the spherical parts 7 of the penetrating element 2 corresponds approximately to the following equation: x = R (1- 1 7i)

dans laquelle x est lawhere x is the

Cette formule est illustrée graphiquement par la figure 6.depth of the narrowing and R is the radius of the spherical parts 7. This formula is illustrated graphically in FIG. 6.

Puis, le diamètre de la partie cylindrique intermédiaire 17 est - a frenprés égala b =2 (R-x) = all7 2On the basis of this formula, all the dimensions can be determined, both of the receiving element 1 according to FIG. 3 and of the penetrating element 2 according to FIG. 4. Thus the branches 11 and 12 of the H-shaped parts have a square cross section whose side is equal to x or (ab) / 2. Then, the diameter of the intermediate cylindrical part 17 is - a frenprés equal to b = 2 (R-x) = all7 2

In the case of FIG. 3, it is clearly understood that if an additional thickness is provided for closing, for example, the upper surface delimited by the curved part 13 and the branches 11, the dimensions must take account of this additional thickness.

The above, with reference to FIGS. 3 to 8, applies mutatis mutandis to the embodiments of FIG. 2 which relates to penetrating elements 7 used to form the T or angular connections with receptor elements 1 (not shown) .

It goes without saying that it is possible to provide still other forms of penetrating elements or receiving elements.

Thus, for example, the links can be simple, as in Figure 3, or be multiple. In the case of multiple links, these may for example consist of two or more single links joined to one another.

The link elements 1 in FIG. 3 can be assembled in an open or closed chain or in a branched construction by alternately joining a penetrating element and a receiving element which are connected together.

Suivant la nature et la place relative dans les logements 5 des parties sphériques 7, on peut obtenir un ensemble completement rigide, un ensemble partiellement rigide ou un ensemble totalement souple et limiter les déplacements angulaires relatifs et la position relative de l'epaulement circulaire 14 par rapport au logement 5.Depending on the nature and the relative place in the housings 5 of the spherical parts 7, it is possible to obtain a completely rigid assembly, a partially rigid assembly or a completely flexible assembly and to limit the relative angular displacements and the relative position of the circular shoulder 14 by relation to accommodation 5.

It should be noted that many alternative embodiments of the invention falling within the claimed principle are possible. This is how we can design an element as shown in FIG. 9 which includes both a penetrating part 2 constituted by a spherical part 7 connected at 17 to a receiving element 1 comprising a single housing 5. Elements of this type can be linked by making a spherical part 7 of a first element penetrate into the housing 5 of a neighboring element (not shown). This variant of execution is however more difficult to execute by injection of resins.
