Abstract

In a drink container (2) especially a bottle, a suction tube (4, 6, 10, 12), constructed in particular as a drinking straw, is arranged inside the filled, sealed drink container (2). The top end of the suction tube is arranged either in the container opening in such a way that it can be gripped and pulled out after the container (2) has been opened or the suction tube (6) is connected to a power store (8) which moves the top end (9) of the suction tube out of the container opening when the container (2) has been opened, or the suction tube (10, 12) receives a lifting force in the product (1) which guides its top end out of the container opening at the latest after the container (2) has been opened. In the case of a carbonated product, this lifting force is increased as a result of the pressure drop after opening due to the fact that bubbles (14) of gas acting as floating bodies rest on the surface of the suction tube or, if the suction tube consists of a porous plastic, it undergoes an expansion in volume. The suction tube can advantageously be introduced into the container before, at the same time as or even after the filling operation. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a beverage container provided with a suction pipe, in particular with a drinking straw, and to a method for its filling.

In recent years, non-alcoholic drinks have been increasingly consumed with the help of drinking straws, which are usually sold separately from the filled beverage containers. When consuming such beverages it therefore happens that a suitable drinking straw is not available. In order to remedy this disadvantage, beverage containers, in particular stand-up pouches, in which a drinking straw is detachably attached to the outside of the container have meanwhile come onto the market. This way of delivering the drinking straw together with the filled beverage container can be used for many types of containers, e.g. with bottles, difficult to realize. In addition, with these drinking straws supplied together with the container, as well as with those sold loose in the market, there is always the risk of contamination, so that the hygienic conditions desirable for the enjoyment of beverages are often not provided when using such drinking straws.

Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention seeks to remedy this. The invention, as characterized in the claims, solves the problem of creating a beverage container provided with a suction pipe, in particular a drinking straw, and to specify a method for its filling, in which each possible contamination of the drinking straw is avoided by transport and manipulation. This is achieved in that the suction tube or the drinking straw is arranged inside the filled, closed beverage container and is only accessible for use after the beverage container has been opened for the first time.

In the following, the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to drawings showing several possible embodiments.

They show schematically in section:
  • FIG. 1 shows a still closed beverage bottle provided with a drinking straw,
  • FIGS. 2 and 3 show a bottle with a drinking straw for a carbonated drink before or after opening,
  • FIGS. 4 and 5 show a bottle with a drinking straw for a carbonated drink according to another embodiment before or after opening,
  • Figures 6 and 7 a bottle with a straw for a carbonated drink before or after opening and
  • Figure 8 in a partial representation of a drinking straw, which consists of a closed pore-containing plastic.

Beim Konsumieren des Flascheninhaltes kann nach dem Abnehmen der Verschlußkappe 3 das obere Ende 5 des Trinkhalmes 4 leicht mit den Fingern angefaßt und zum Mund geführt werden.FIG. 1 shows a bottle 2 filled with a liquid filling material 1, for example a non-carbonated beverage, the opening of which is closed with a closure cap 3 is. Within the filled bottle 2 - standing loosely - a plastic drinking straw 4 is arranged, the length of which is chosen so that its upper end 5 comes to lie directly on the inside of the cap 3. When consuming the contents of the bottle, after removing the cap 3, the upper end 5 of the drinking straw 4 can be easily gripped with the fingers and guided to the mouth.

When filling the bottle, the drinking straw can be introduced into the bottle before, during or after filling the liquid filling material. During the filling process, the drinking straws made of plastic can be kept under hygienically perfect conditions.

Figures 2 and 3 show a bottle 2 for a carbonated drink 1 before or after removing the cap 3. In the bottle 2 there is a plastic drinking straw 6, which has two straight sections 6 'and 6 ", which in the area 7 over a bellows-like zone (not shown in the figures) is connected to one another, at which the drinking straw 6 can be bent off. A sleeve made of elastomeric material is pushed over this bellows-like zone. During the filling process, the drinking straw 6 is filled into the liquid filling material The bottle is pressed in and the bottle is closed immediately thereafter, the drinking straw 6 being bent in its area 7 with elastic deformation of the sleeve 8, as can be seen in FIG.

After the closure cap 3 has been removed (FIG. 3), the elastically deformed sleeve 8, which here acts as a mechanical energy accumulator, returns to its original shape; i.e. the kink of the drinking straw 6 is lifted and its upper end 9 is moved through the bottle opening into a position in which it protrudes from the bottle neck and can thus be conveniently guided to the mouth.

Nach dem Abnehmen der Verschlußkappe schwimmt der Trinkhalm sofort so weit auf, daß er mit seinem oberen Ende aus dem Flaschenhals herausragt und so zum Mund geführt werden kann.FIGS. 4 and 5 show, similar to FIGS. 2 'and 3, according to another variant of the invention, a bottle 2 for a non-carbonated drink 1 before or after the closure cap 3 has been removed. A drinking straw 10 is located in the bottle 2 ,. the material of which is selected so that when the bottle 2 (FIG. 5) is open it floats in the liquid filling material 1 to such an extent that it protrudes through the bottle opening from the bottle neck. When the bottle is closed (FIG. 4), the floating drinking straw 10 is supported with its lower end on the inside of the closure cap 3. After removing the cap, the drinking straw immediately floats so far that it protrudes from the bottle neck with its upper end and can thus be guided to the mouth.

When filling the bottle 2, the drinking tube 10 is introduced into the bottle 2 before or after the filling material has been filled, taking care and, if necessary, taking special measures to ensure that the closing of the bottle 2 is not disturbed by the floating drinking straw 10.

Figures 6 and 7 also show analogously to the Figu Ren 2 and 3 a bottle 2 closed with a cap 3, but which contains a carbonated beverage under increased pressure. In the bottle 2 (FIG. 6) there is a drinking straw 12, the material of which is selected so that it floats only very little at the filling pressure in the liquid filling material 11, ie its upper end would protrude only a few millimeters above the filling level. In the arrangement shown in FIG. 6, the drinking straw 12 does not float in the filling material 11 because of its length, but stands on the bottom of the bottle. After opening bottle 2, the filling pressure is suddenly relieved, which leads to sudden degassing of the liquid filling material. During this degassing, gas bubbles 14 are deposited on the surface zone 13 of the drinking straw 12 wetted by the filling material 11, which, acting as a floating body, lead to a floating of the drinking straw 12 into the position shown in FIG. 7, in which the upper end of the drinking straw leads to the mouth can be.

The gas bubbles accumulate on the surface of the drinking straw all the faster, the faster the filling material is degassed, i.e. so the higher the pressure released in the closed bottle. The gas bubble accumulation is favored by a drinking straw surface with a rough surface structure or with edges or tips.

According to another variant of the bottle for carbonated beverages provided with a drinking straw and described with reference to FIGS. 6 and 7, a drinking straw becomes used, which, as indicated in the schematic partial representation in section in Fig. 8, consists of a closed pore-containing plastic. The pressure drop that occurs when the bottle is opened causes an abrupt expansion of the straw material and thus an increase in the buoyancy of the straw in the liquid filling material, which - supported by the formation of gas bubbles on the surface of the straw - causes the straw to float particularly quickly into the position shown in FIG. 7 . Such a rapid floating of the drinking straw, which stands up on the bottom of the bottle when the bottle is closed (see FIG. 6), since the reasons for this are not readily apparent, can be particularly effective for the sale of drinks.

For the introduction of the straw into the beverage container, i.e. So in the bottle, there are now several ways.

First, according to a first embodiment, the drinking straw can be introduced into the bottle before the filling material is filled. This can have the advantage that the straw can be introduced independently of the filling process. In this embodiment, the filling process must then take place in such a way that it is not disturbed by the presence of the drinking straw in the bottle.

Furthermore, the drinking straw can be introduced into the bottle at the same time as the contents are filled in for example, if you let the drinking straw wash through the contents into the bottle with the help of a specially designed filling head.

Finally, it may be advantageous if the drinking straw is introduced into the bottle after filling the product, i.e. between filling and closing the bottle, among other things also because the filling and closing of the bottle usually takes place at two separate devices, the usual construction of which essentially does not have to be changed and between which a device for inserting the straws can be inserted. In this case, it appears expedient that, in order to get a handle on a possibly occurring disturbing ascent of the drinking straw, the drinking straw is introduced into the filled bottle immediately before it is closed.
