Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a transport device for bars of stacked packaging elements, such as cups, lids, etc., which are intended in particular for the reception of food and beverages, with a transport container or frame of cubic shape, in which the element bars are arranged in foil-wrapped form.
A transport device of the type mentioned is known. The element bars are stored in an orderly manner. The inside of the packaging container is lined with a plastic film, which is closed before the container is closed.
If packaging elements of this type are used for the food, beverage or luxury food industry, it is necessary to package the packaging elements as dust-free as possible in order to prevent further contamination during transport and storage, and to keep them in the desired clean state until the filling process .
When filling, the transport container and its inner packaging are opened anyway in order to remove the packaging element bars one after the other and to feed them to a filling machine. At this moment, the poles are openly accessible for a long time, so that they can dust again and germs can settle.
The present invention has for its object to provide a transport device of the type mentioned, which enables an automatic filling of the transport container and an automatic feed of the element bars to a filling machine and at the same time ensures a high degree of sterility and dust-free of the packaging elements up to the filling process.
This object is achieved in that the element rods are arranged in the transport container along a film strip, which surrounds the same individually sealed airtight on all sides.
This ensures that the packaging elements can be packed airtight immediately after their manufacture and stacking and remain in this low-germ form until the immediate filling process. This is particularly important when emptying the transport container, since in the case of the invention only that element bar is always removed, the packaging elements of which are necessary for filling. The remaining element bars remain completely protected in the foil tape. The belt also enables chain-like processing of the individual element bars one after the other, which enables automatic loading of filling machines. Once the filling machine has gripped one end of the film strip, it can move the other element rods in succession after opening the same and removing the first element rod in the course of further processing by further conveying the film strip, opening it and removing the consume the following element bars. By interlinking the film belts of several transport containers, the film belt reaching the filling machine can be extended indefinitely, making machine standstill when changing containers unnecessary.
In addition to the greatest possible sterility and the possibility of automatic feeding to the filling machine, the invention also has the advantage that the individual elements of the element bars are held together securely in the film strip. This is important for the correct assignment of the individual packaging elements to one another at the moment of delivery to the filling machine and for the unstacking process of the element bars themselves.
The transport container can also be designed in the form of a transport frame. It is important that he is able to hold one or more film tapes securely for transport.
In the case of the transport devices of the type mentioned at the outset, approximately 90% of the total costs are attributable to the production of the packaging container, which is designed in particular as a corrugated cardboard box. The production cost structure of corrugated cardboard is characterized by a comparatively low raw material value and, due to a complex reprocessing process, by high process costs. In the invention, however, in addition to the reusable transport containers, the film webs, for. B. consisting of thermoplastics used as relative raw materials are valuable and can be reused easily and cheaply. This property and the fact that the invention produces plastics at all in worthwhile amounts makes it possible to use the recycling process efficiently and economically and thus to bring about considerable cost savings in the invention.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the element rods are arranged with their rod axis transverse to the longitudinal extension of the film strip. Such an orientation creates a unit that is movable in itself, since the film strip can easily be folded around axes parallel to the rod axes, so that the transport container can be completely filled with the film strip or the element rods contained therein. The removal of the film strip is also facilitated by the described orientation of the element bars because of the flexibility of the film strip.
A simple construction of the film strip results from the fact that it consists of a first and a second film layer, which are arranged parallel to one another and have closed spaces between them in a cylindrical shape for the element rods.
For pressure-sensitive packaging elements, it is advantageous to hang the film in the transport container in a loop-like manner on supports. The packaging elements can then not be damaged under the weight of the other container bars. The hanging arrangement prevents this.
With sensitive packaging elements, it is also advantageous if the free spaces are under excess pressure. Damage to the packaging elements due to the weight of the other packaging elements can also be excluded with this measure. The inflated free spaces can have a larger volume than would be necessary to accommodate the container rods. The additional space creates a safety cushion to the neighboring parts of the film tape and protects the enclosed element bars.
A particular advantage of this transport system, consisting of permanent transport containers or racks, lies in a significant saving in raw material costs, which makes this invention economically viable. Since pure, unmixed thermoplastic materials can be used for the production of the film strip, the used film strips can be fed to a simple reprocessing process which can be repeated almost indefinitely. Thermoplastic materials are meltable raw materials that can be shaped and reprocessed with comparatively little thermal energy and low process costs. As a result, considerable savings in raw materials can be achieved.

In Fig. 1, a
The transport devices each comprise a
The
However, the element rods do not have to be held spaced apart from one another in the film strip in the manner described, they can also be arranged directly next to one another, as the embodiment of FIG. 4 shows. In both cases, however, are the foil tapes. successively linked together like a chain, so that an automatic loading of a filling machine is possible.
In the embodiment of FIG. 4, the
In order to make the two ends tangible, in this case both ends can be provided with
In order to additionally protect pressure-sensitive packaging elements from damage, it is conceivable to make the free spaces somewhat larger than the volume of the element bars and to inflate them with overpressure before closing, so that an additional safety space for the element bars is created.
When using the transport device according to the invention, the element rods are introduced into a
In the course of its completion, the film strip is introduced into the transport container. After the transport, one end of the film strip is gripped and fed to the filling machine, whereupon the film strip is pulled out of the transport container in the manner of a chain in the course of using the element rods or their elements. The individual element bars are released from the composite with the film strip after opening the free spaces of the element bars that are in each case to be processed. This can be done, for example, by means of a knife or by means of heating wires which open the film strip at a favorable point either on the end regions of the free spaces or on the outer surfaces.
In other cross-sectional shapes of the film strip, the free spaces can also be formed as loops of only one base film, as shown in FIG. 5. In another embodiment, it is also possible to have two substantially parallel ones Provide foils the same connecting
In Fig. 7 two
The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiment shown. So z. B. packaging elements for the inclusion of other goods, eg. B. oils, greases, varnishes, etc. are provided, are equally introduced in foil tapes according to the invention. If the transport container is to be dispensed with for any reason, the film strips can also be used without the transport container.
