Definitions
- the invention relates to a credit facility of a self-seller with a coin validator, which can be set by means of an actuator so that it rejects coins, and with a mechanical coin counter, which counts coins falling into a cashing device by the coin validator from a zero value to a maximum value step by step and the when the cashier device is actuated, it is mechanically wound up and reset to the zero value.
- Such a coin counter is described in DE-OS 29 11 634. This works, for example, with three coin shafts, for example for 1, DM, 2, DM and 5, DM coins.
- a coin validator is arranged above the coin counter, which corresponds to a inserted coin their value in the coin slot concerned. Release levers are arranged in the coin shafts, which lead to an indexing of the counter corresponding to the coin value.
- the coin counter has a mechanical energy store which is mechanically wound up by means of an elevator slide. At the same time, the coin counter is reset to zero each time it is opened.
- the counter is opened and reset via a cashier device in which the coins detected by the counter are temporarily stored and directed into a collection cash register when one of the self-seller's goods dispensing devices is operated or when a money return key is pressed be directed to a money return compartment. In both cases the counter is opened and reset.
- Coin validators that can be set by means of an actuator so that they reject coins are known on the market.
- the rejected coins bypass the coin counter and go straight to the money return compartment.
- the winding of the energy store should theoretically be designed at least in such a way that it can drive the counter via the steps lying between the zero value and the intended maximum value.
- the energy store is designed to be much stronger. Among other things, this ensures that even then the function of the coin counter is ensured if a coin of a value with a counter value slightly below the maximum value is counted, with which the maximum value is then exceeded. It also ensures that friction losses do not affect the meter function.
- the object of the invention is to achieve a safe zeroing of the coin counter.
- the above object is achieved in that a coupling element driven by the coin counter is provided which engages the actuator and in that the coupling element is set such that the actuator is actuated when the coin counter has reached the maximum value.
- a credit facility of a self-seller has a coin validator 1.
- a mechanical coin counter 2 is arranged below this.
- a cashier device 3 is located beneath it.
- Coins pass through a coin insertion slot in a door of the self-seller (not shown in more detail) into an insertion funnel 4, fall through the coin validator 1 and, depending on their value, through one of several coin channels 5 of the coin counter 2 onto a coin collecting flap 6 of the cashier device 3.
- the coin validator 1 has a rejection lever 7 (see FIG. 3). If this is actuated, inserted coins go directly into a money return channel 8 of the cashier device 3. In each of the coin channels 5, a coin type is guided by the coin validator 1. Release levers 8 protrude into the coin channels 5 and, when a coin falls, lead to a sum shaft 9 advancing in accordance with the value of the coin. Adjustable cam disks 10 are arranged on the summation shaft 9. Known gear trains are provided between the sum shaft 9 and the release levers 8.
- the coin counter 2 has a mechanical energy store, which ensures the gear drive of the sum shaft 9.
- An elevator slide 11 is provided on the coin counter 2 to pull up the energy store.
- a cranked elevator lever 14 is mounted on an eccentric 12 on a pivot axis 13 of the coin collecting flap 6. If the coin collecting flap 6 is pivoted in the direction of the arrow R into the money return channel 8, then the elevator lever "14 pushes the elevator slide 11 upwards, as when the coin collecting flap 6 is pivoted in the direction of the arrow K into a cashier channel 15.
- a lever 17 is fastened to the bearing axis 16 and is connected to a further lever 19 at a joint 18.
- the lever 19 is displaceably mounted in an adjustable guide 20 at its upper end (see FIG. 3).
- the guide 20 consists of a fixed part 21 and a guide piece 22 which is adjustable relative to the latter.
- the lever 19 is cranked in such a way that when it moves downward, it deflects the deflector lever 7 in such a way that it turns the coin validator 1 on "Rejecting coins" switches.
- FIGS. 1 and 3 show the elevator slide 11 and therefore also the lever 17 with the lever 19 in the opened and zeroed position of the coin counter 2. Accordingly, the free end 23 does not act on the deflection lever 7 (cf. FIG. 3).
- the elevator slide 11 is shown in the expired position of the coin counter 2. Accordingly, the lever 17 is also pivoted so that the lever 19 is pulled down, the free end 23 then deflecting the rejection lever 7 such that this leads to rejection of the coins which have entered the coin validator.
- the other position of the lift slide 11 is shown in broken lines in FIG.
- the sum wave 9 and thus the credit facility is at zero.
- the sum wave 9 runs in accordance with the value of the coins and likewise the elevator slide 11 in the direction of the position shown in FIG. If the penultimate, that is N - 1 of the position is reached, then the free end 23 of the lever 19 just does not pivot the deflection lever 7. In order to be able to adjust this accordingly on the part of the manufacturer, the adjustable guide piece 22 and the slope of the free end 23 shown in FIG. 3 are provided.
- the coin counter When the next coin is inserted, the coin counter then switches one or more steps according to the coin value, so that in the course of this process the lever 17 pulls the lever 19 downward due to the further expiration of the energy store or the sequence of the elevator slide 11 whose free end 23 pivots the rejection lever 7 so that the coin validator then directs further inserted coins directly into the money return channel 8.
- A represents the distance on which the joint 18 between the levers 17 and 19 extends moving from the elevator position to the position in which no more coins are accepted.
- B represents the distance on which the joint 18 and the corresponding elevator slide 11 could continue to run due to the energy stored in the energy store.
- the distance B thus corresponds to a reserve energy of the coin counter 2, which is used for the evaluation of higher than single-value coins inserted after the step N-1 and which is available to cover friction losses which are difficult to detect.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a credit facility of a self-seller with a coin validator, which can be set by means of an actuator so that it rejects coins, and with a mechanical coin counter, which counts coins falling into a cashing device by the coin validator from a zero value to a maximum value step by step and the when the cashier device is actuated, it is mechanically wound up and reset to the zero value.
Such a coin counter is described in DE-OS 29 11 634. This works, for example, with three coin shafts, for example for 1, DM, 2, DM and 5, DM coins. A coin validator is arranged above the coin counter, which corresponds to a inserted coin their value in the coin slot concerned. Release levers are arranged in the coin shafts, which lead to an indexing of the counter corresponding to the coin value. The coin counter has a mechanical energy store which is mechanically wound up by means of an elevator slide. At the same time, the coin counter is reset to zero each time it is opened.
As described in DE-OS 29 13 431, the counter is opened and reset via a cashier device in which the coins detected by the counter are temporarily stored and directed into a collection cash register when one of the self-seller's goods dispensing devices is operated or when a money return key is pressed be directed to a money return compartment. In both cases the counter is opened and reset.
Coin validators that can be set by means of an actuator so that they reject coins are known on the market. The rejected coins bypass the coin counter and go straight to the money return compartment.
In the case of mechanical coin counters of the type mentioned, the winding of the energy store should theoretically be designed at least in such a way that it can drive the counter via the steps lying between the zero value and the intended maximum value. In practice, however, the energy store is designed to be much stronger. Among other things, this ensures that even then the function of the coin counter is ensured if a coin of a value with a counter value slightly below the maximum value is counted, with which the maximum value is then exceeded. It also ensures that friction losses do not affect the meter function. This design of the energy storage device or of the elevator has the result that counter readings can be achieved by a further coin insertion that exceeds the maximum value, which do not lead to a certainty when the money return key is pressed, so that a credit is then stored in the meter despite the return of money would. This is obviously undesirable.
The object of the invention is to achieve a safe zeroing of the coin counter.
According to the invention, the above object is achieved in that a coupling element driven by the coin counter is provided which engages the actuator and in that the coupling element is set such that the actuator is actuated when the coin counter has reached the maximum value. Thus, when the coin counter has reached the maximum value, there is no further coin enumeration, since coins inserted further are then rejected into the return compartment by the coin validator. This ensures that the coin counter can only run up to a value which is greater than the maximum value by the value of the largest usable coin, less 1. From this defined end position of the coin counter zeroing is possible without special measures. The dimensioning of the energy storage does not influence the attainable end position of the counter.
Advantageous refinements of the invention result from the following drawing description of an exemplary embodiment and the subclaims individually or in combination.
- FIG. 1 shows a side view of a credit facility,
- Figure 2 is a partial view enlarged compared to Figure 1 and
- Figure 3 is a front view of the credit facility of Figure 1 partially cut.
A credit facility of a self-seller has a
Der Münzprüfer 1 weist einen Abweishebel 7 auf (vgl. Figur 3). The
The
By pivoting the
With the
Strichliert ist in Figur 2 die andere Stellung des Aufsugschiebers 11 dargestellt.FIGS. 1 and 3 show the
The
If the
In Figure 2, A represents the distance on which the
The resetting of the
