Claims (6)

1. A mounting member (1) comprising an elastic material for mounting spring bars (3) on the side member (11) of a bed frame, having a retaining projection (5) which can be fitted into a corresponding receiving opening (10) in the side member (11) and which co-operates with the receiving opening (10) so as to be firmly clamped therein in the position of use, characterised in that, in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the spring bar (3) to be fitted, the retaining projection (5) is provided with a longitudinal slot (6) which is of a substantially dovetail-shaped cross-section and with edge portions (12) which in the position of use are arranged above the frame members (11) and which extend outwardly towards the mounting member (1), wherein the wall thickness of the portions (7, 8,12) of the retaining projection is only negligibly larger than the wall thickness of the other portions of the mounting member.
2. A mounting member according to claim 1 characterised in that the outwardly extending edge portions (12) are of an arcuate configuration above the frame member (11) to act as rolling surfaces for tilting of the mounting members(1).

A mounting member according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that the projection portions (7, 8) which pass through the receiving opening (10) are formed with projections (9) which engage behind the receiving opening (10), wherein the projections (9) at the end of the projection portions (7, 8), in the horizontal position of use of the mounting member, are at a spacing from the underside of the receiving opening (10), which permits the mounting member (1) to take up an inclined position.

A mounting member according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that the retaining projections (9) are provided on the projection portions (7,8) only at the outer wall regions which extend substantially in the longitudinal direction of the spring bars, and the rearward region which is remote from the bar (3).

A mounting member according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that the projection portions (7, 8) which engage into the receiving opening (10) on the frame members (11) are arranged, on the underside (4) of the mounting member (1), at a spacing from the rearward end (13) of the mounting member, and are provided with connecting wall portions (14 and 15 respectively) which are arcuate towards the rearward wall portion and towards the free end.
6. A mounting member according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that the projection portions (7, 8) which engage into the receiving opening (10) are arranged on the mounting member so as to extend outwardly towards their free ends.
