Abstract

In a process for protecting the interior of pipework in central heating systems, a compsn. is added to the water in the system comprising an aq. mixt. contg. 50-90 wt.% water glass and one or more stabilisers, esp. 5-30 wt.% of a phosphate such as Na3PO4.12H2O and opt. 5-30 wt.% ethylene glycol. Generally approx. 1 l of the aq. mixt. is added per 300 l water in the sytem. The additive prevents corrosion and internal deposit formation in central heating systems, thus improving the life of the system and improving heat transfer and efficiency of the system.

Description

The invention relates to the operation of the protection of the pipeline of an H eizungssystems against destruction, by Züfugen of substances in the water supply system, whereby a protection is on the inside of the system.

The invention further relates to the production method of an aqueous mixture which is fed into the heating system with tap water.

Im Zentralheizungssystem Können verschiedene Mängel auftreten.Various defects can occur in the central heating system.

The pipes are eaten up or unwanted deposits are formed, leaks show up in the pipe system.
  • 1. Internal contamination of the system due to corrosion. Through this Prozes the life of the L egg processing system verkürst.
  • 2. The formation of unwanted deposits on the inside of the system and possible heating transmission elements, the heat transfer is reduced. The load is about 10% with a protective deposit of one millimeter,
  • 3. The reduced heat transfer causes an increased consumption of energy.
    • This means that the boiler water must be brought to a higher temperature.
    • For example, if the boiler temperature is 70 ° C without coating, the boiler temperature should be brought to ± 90 ° C with a coating of 1-2 mm to get the same heating result.
  • 4. A higher water temperature in the system has a less pleasant distribution of heat in the rooms to be heated to the fog.
  • 5. The dirt difficult eizungselementen the flow of water in the system and the H, as the narrowest passband opening the flow rate determined in the system.

A means has been developed through trials to prevent the damage mentioned.

The effect of the invention is achieved by feeding an aqueous mixture containing 50-90% by weight sodium silicate and several stabilizing substances.

By feeding this mixture, a very thin protective layer is formed in the pipe system and in the heating elements and boiler, which reduces the frictional resistance in the system and prevents dirt and limescale deposits.

An additional advantage of this new agent is that small cracks and leak damage in the system are sealed by a thin, but very protective coating, which is mainly formed by the added sodium silicate.

Sealing such leaks prevents water loss and the system does not need to be refilled for a long time.

PH-erhöhende Stoffe werden der Mischung beigegeben.PH-increasing substances are added to the mixture.

Na3Po4 12H20.For this purpose a phosfaat is used, such as Na 3 Po 4 12H 2 0.

The mixture according to the invention and the effect achieved thereby - is further expanded by adding ethylene glycol in an amount of 5-20 percent by weight, which reduces the freezing of the system.

Die Mischung der Erfindung wird hergestellt aus 50-90% Na2 OSiO2, 5-30% Na3 Po4 12H2O in 10-45% H2O.The mixture of the invention is made from 50-90% Na 2 OSiO 2 , 5-30% Na 3 Po 4 12H 2 O in 10-45% H 2 O.

Das verwendete Natron-Wasserglas ist 27,5% Si02 und 30% Trockensubstanz.The soda water glass used is 27.5% Si0 2 and 30% dry matter.

The product is commercially available in the form of an aqueous solution.

Das angewendete Trinatriumphosphat enthält 42,5% Na3 PO4 und etwa 50% H2 0.The trisodium phosphate used contains 42.5% Na 3 PO 4 and about 50% H 2 0 .

Hierzu.kann 5-10 Gewichtsprozent Ethyleenglycol zugefügt werden. Die Erfindung soll an folgendem Beispiel erklärt werden;For this, 5-10% by weight of ethylene glycol can be added. The invention will be explained using the following example;

In a container equipped with a stirrer 700 parts of soda-water glass, 200 parts of N atriumphosphaat and 100 parts of water are mixed.

When a homogeneous solution is reached, the mixture is further diluted with a maximum of 250 liters of water.

This solution is filled into a heating system as a heat transfer medium.

A thin protective film forms on the walls of the duct systems, H eizungselementen and boiler.

This protective layer effectively prevents the build-up of dirt on the walls of the system and thus an almost ideal heat transfer takes place.
