- the apex 18 of the skin 17 can certainly reach as far as the edge 11, but expediently ends below the edge 11.
- the individual channels 19 can be filled with water 20.
- These channels 19 are created either by piercing or piercing by means of a tube, rod or similar object, not shown, or by the stems of the plants to be stuck into the rigid polyurethane foam body 2. Since the water absorption of beard polyurethane foam is limited to a surface effect due to the closed-cell structure, the channels 19 fill with water, so that the plants stuck in them with their stems can be supplied accordingly. It is only necessary that the surface 18 is sufficiently covered by the water 20.
- the bottom 21 of container 1 can be filled with sand 22, as indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG.
- the sand 22 can also be enriched with water, which can also be done subsequently by piercing the channels 19 and pouring water accordingly.
- FIG. 2 A further possibility for achieving a low center of gravity of the entire unit consisting of container 1 and rigid polyurethane foam body 2 is indicated in FIG. 2.
- the dash-dotted and hatched plate 23 made of metal is inserted on the bottom 21 of the container 1 or balls (not shown) made of metal or a similarly heavy material are used. 2 and 4, the material 22, 23 arranged on the bottom 21 is held down firmly and immovably by the rigid polyurethane foam body 2 firmly connected to the inner wall 9 of the container 1.
- the container 1 has a rear undercut 24, indicated by dash-dotted lines, for example in the form of a circumferential ring edge 25, which includes between them a surface 26 which is smaller than the cross-sectional areas of the body 2 located between it and the bottom 21 of the container 1 Is polyurethane.
- the polyethylene film 27 shown in FIG. 3 is laid out over the entire inner wall 10 of the container 1 and the end 28 either wholly or partially pulled over the edge 11 of the container 1.
- the rigid polyurethane foam body 2 adheres firmly to the film 27, but not to the inner wall 10 of the container 1.
- the coupling between the container 1 and the rigid foam body now takes place through the undercut of the circumferential ring edge 25 in the form a clip connection.
- the overlapping ends 28 of the film 27, which may consist, for example, of a polyethylene film, are pulled upwards in the direction of the arrows 29 while holding the container 1 up, whereby the lower part of the Hard foam body 2 snaps over the undercut 24.
- the container 1 can have the shape of a bowl, a vase or a goblet. Before it is filled into the container 1, the polyurethane can also be provided with a dye which not only adapts the corresponding rigid foam body 2 spatially but also visually to the desired requirements.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a container for receiving arrangements with an insertable body arranged therein for holding a flower, a plant, a branch or the like.
A known container of this type has a sponge in its interior, which is held non-positively in the interior of the container with a binding material. This sponge consists of a water-absorbing material, which can be cut in the dry state, but conveniently also breaks or crumbles easily and requires a stable holder, especially for heavy flower or plant arrangements. This bracket is usually accomplished by means of a clay or clay wreath, which holds down the outer peripheral area of this sponge. The preparation of such a container is not only very time-consuming and costly, but also inevitably entails a considerable weight of the container, which in turn leads to transport difficulties. It is also not possible to stick this sponge to the bottom of the container, as it tears out very easily. There is a container for lush arrangements desirable with great stability, but not one with great weight, which inevitably runs in parallel. It is important here that a large total weight of the container for holding the flower arrangement is not useful if the stems of relatively heavy flowers, plants or branches break out of the relatively fragile material of the sponge.
Furthermore, containers of the type mentioned are known in which the pierceable body consists of potting soil, soil-peat mixtures or sand. These containers are even heavier and moreover not suitable for dry arrangements.
Starting from this prior art, the invention has for its object to provide a container of the type mentioned, which has a pierceable body connected to it to form a unit, which on the one hand ensures an extremely low overall weight of the container in dry sticks, but on the other hand with Wet arrangements or other arrangements that are heavier in terms of weight can be provided with a low-lying heavy pact without any significant additional effort.
This object is achieved in that the body consists of rigid polyurethane foam, which can be metered into the interior of the container before it cures and, after it has cured, fills out at least part of the interior in a form-fitting manner. This arrangement creates a container in which the pierceable body with the inner wall of the container is a durable connection without the usual tools such as clay, clay or gypsum and sand materials would be required to hold the body in the interior of the container.
Rigid polyurethane foam is a well-known, closed-cell material, which is made from two components, namely polyol formulations and isocyanates, and which after it has hardened does not rot, is mold and rot-proof as well as odorless and physiologically harmless, in particular chemically neutral.
However, it is known from packaging technology that such a rigid polyurethane foam breaks quickly even at low loads and tends to crumble. For the latter reason, one example, has also been mixed to save weight potting soil with popcornarti g s rigid polyurethane foam granules and used as pierceable body in the container. However, has been found in a surprising manner in the subject invention that the geheg t s concerns are unfounded. Because on the one hand, the rigid polyurethane foam is given a stable corset by the firm connection to the inner wall of the container, which fully takes into account all strength requirements and on the other hand, the remaining, visible surface is of such a low porosity that one of the Structure of the body can speak tightly surrounding skin; nevertheless, this relatively firm skin can be pierced by the stems of a flower, a plant or a branch or the like without causing kinking. Due to the firm integration of the body made of rigid polyurethane foam in the container, there is no fear of a partial breakout of polyurethane particles when used normally.
Basically, the pierceable body can be arranged in the container according to two alternatives. According to a first embodiment, the polyurethane is in the form of several components, e.g. a polyol formulation and an isocyanate, poured into the interior of the container, mixed therein and left to react. During the reaction time, the polyurethane mixture has the peculiarity of swelling like a yeast cake and, depending on the dosage, completely or partially filling the interior of the container.
According to a second alternative, the polyurethane mixture consisting of one or more polyol formulations and isocyanates can be added with a blowing agent, e.g. with the addition of frigen, are in liquid form in a spray can and from there are filled into the interior of the container like a cream. In this case, the volume of the polyurethane urethane filled in increases only insignificantly during its curing time, so that the dosage can be carried out by eye.
In both versions, there is a firm connection between the rigid polyurethane foam and the inner wall of the container, so that additional fasteners are unnecessary.
According to an advantageous development of the invention, the polyurethane is dosed for a dry arrangement in such a way that the body projects beyond the edge of the container after it has hardened. In this case, in contrast to the conventional sponge, it is now possible for the first time to also put the body protruding from the container laterally, i.e. in the horizontal direction, without fear of breaking out, prying out or the like. Of the inserted plants.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, however, the container can also easily accommodate a wet arrangement, although the water absorption of rigid polyurethane foam is essentially limited to a surface effect due to the closed-cell structure. For this reason, the arrangement of the body in the container is made in such a way that its visible polyurethane surface, after it has hardened, ends below the edge of the container. In this case, the remaining space of the container can be filled with water, which then penetrates into the channels created by the piercing of the flowers, plants, branches or the like and allows each plant to be allocated a separate water balance, similar to an orchid tube. In this case, only the container space not filled with polyurethane foam with sufficient space is required Amount of water to be supplied.
The connection between the inner wall of the container and the polyurethane is so intimate and firm that there is no need for additional form-fitting connection arrangements. For special cases, however, it means an advantageous development of the invention if the interior of the container has at least one undercut in the area of the body made of polyurethane. The undercut of the interior of the container then advantageously consists of a circumferential ring edge which encloses an area which is smaller than the cross-sectional areas of the polyurethane body located between it and the bottom of the container.
A special case for using such an undercut is given, for example, if one wants to use one and the same pierceable body made of polyurethane as a core, for several coreless containers of the same configuration of their interior. In this case, before the polyurethane is filled in, the entire inner wall of the interior of the container is lined with a film which projects in whole or in part beyond the upper edge of the container. After curing, the polyurethane adheres firmly to the film. This film, which together with the polyurethane core is positively coupled to the inner wall of the container via the undercuts, can then be lifted out of the undercut and into another container with a clip Undercut of the same configuration can be clipped in.
The visible surface of the body made of polyurethane is advantageously convexly curved outwards and the polyurethane with an optically appealing dye, 2.B. green for wet arrangements and beige or brown for dry arrangements.
The container itself can have the shape of a bowl, a vase or a chalice and can be made of clay, glass, metal or plastic. In all cases, the adhesive strength of the rigid polyurethane foam is such that an intimate connection with the respective inner wall of the container is ensured.
Depending on the weight and lye of the flowers, plants and branches used, a low center of gravity of the entire container arrangement (container and pierceable body) may be desirable. Here, too, the invention allows several alternative designs.
In a first alternative embodiment, the bottom of the interior of the container is filled with at least one metal body, for example one or more plates or more balls, before the polyurethane is filled in, which are held firmly and immovably on the container base after the polyurethane has hardened. Even if the container, for example a korean tapered bowl, is turned upside down, these weights are held down immovably on the floor. Such an arrangement is particularly suitable for dry arrangements.
According to a second alternative, however, it is also possible to fill the bottom of the container with sand before filling the polyurethane, which can also be enriched with water. After the polyurethane has hardened, this layer of sand is tightly and tightly closed by the polyurethane core according to the principle of a bottle cork. This embodiment is particularly suitable for wet arrangements, whereby after the stems of the flowers, plants and branches have been pierced, the container base can come into contact with the container surface, ensure permanent moisture supply and perform the function of a metered water reservoir.

As can be seen from Fig. 2, according to a first alternative, the body is made of rigid polyurethane foam in that two of its components, e.g. the polyol formulation symbolized by the arrow A and the isocyanate compound symbolically illustrated by the arrow B, poured precisely into the
In the illustrated embodiments of FIGS. 2 and 3, the dosing of components A and B is carried out in such a way that the body 2 is made Polyurethane protrudes beyond the
The latter also applies to the rigid foam body 2 of FIG. 4, which is arranged there in a bowl-shaped
In order to achieve a low-lying overall center of gravity of
A further possibility for achieving a low center of gravity of the entire unit consisting of
In the event that two
It is understood that the
