Definitions
- the invention relates to a thermally insulated profile made of metal, in particular aluminum, in which the insulation zone is formed by strips or blocks of plastic.
- the plastic can be made in the form of continuous strips, foam bridges or by arbitrarily usable plastic blocks, which are arranged at intervals according to the static requirements. In the former and the latter case there are air gaps, the thermal insulation of which is impaired by internal circulation and therefore do not bring much better thermal insulation for larger gaps.
- two light metal profiles 1 and 2 are connected by means of continuous plastic strips 3 and 4, which are held with their thickened ends in undercut or bent grooves of the light metal profiles 1 and 2, so that there is a positive and non-positive connection that meets all strength requirements.
- a thin-walled, approximately H-shaped profile 8 made of plastic, which divides this air chamber into at least four chambers, thereby preventing circulation between these chambers.
- the insulating plastic profile 8 is made of thin elastic material, so that it ends his leg 9 rests on the light metal profiles 1 and 2 under elastic tension and thus causes a certain sealing of the individual air chambers.
- the plastic profile can therefore also be manufactured as an extruded profile in large lengths and rolled or folded for transport purposes, since under certain circumstances it can also be cut to length and used on the construction site. It is not limited to the H-shaped embodiment, but can, according to FIG. 4, also with three flanges, according to FIG. 5 as an X profile, according to FIGS. 6 and 7 as a net profile, according to FIG. 8 with three flanges as standing profile and Fig. 9 can be designed as a zigzag or corrugated profile. To improve the thermal insulation, it can also have a reflective surface coating with aluminum or the like in order to avoid heat losses due to radiation. Since the profiles are inserted parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profile, the channels can be easily rinsed out during the anodizing process.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a thermally insulated profile made of metal, in particular aluminum, in which the insulation zone is formed by strips or blocks of plastic.
It is known in metal windows to avoid the cold bridge by spacing the inner and outer metal profile with plastics. The plastic can be made in the form of continuous strips, foam bridges or by arbitrarily usable plastic blocks, which are arranged at intervals according to the static requirements. In the former and the latter case there are air gaps, the thermal insulation of which is impaired by internal circulation and therefore do not bring much better thermal insulation for larger gaps.
This is prevented according to the invention in that a thin-walled plastic profile is inserted into the air chamber to increase the thermal insulation, which is the air chamber divided into two or more compartments.
Due to this subdivision of the air chamber, the circulation is limited to one sub-chamber and the heat flow must overcome several partition walls.
- Fig. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 und 9 verschiedene Querschnittsformen der dünnwandigen Kunststoffprofile.
- 1 shows a cross section of a composite profile which is connected by means of continuous plastic webs,
- 2 shows a cross section of a composite profile which is connected by spacer blocks,
- 3 shows the same profile with a plastic profile inserted between the spacer blocks,
- 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 different cross-sectional shapes of the thin-walled plastic profiles.
As can be seen from the drawing, two
