Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Gehäuse für ein elektrisches Bauelement, insbesondere für ein Relais, mit gegen das Eindringen von Flüssigkeiten abgedichteten Gehäusewänden.The invention relates to a housing for an electrical component, in particular for a relay, with housing walls sealed against the ingress of liquids.
Elektrische Bauelemente, welche auf Leiterplatten gelötet werden, müssen nach dem Lötvorgang jeweils mit den Leiterplatten gewaschen werden, damit die Flußmittelreste gelöst werden. Diesen Waschvorgang müssen auch elektromechanische Bauelemente, also insbesondere Relais, ohne Beeinträchtigung ihrer Funktion überstehen; zu diesem Zweck werden die Bauelemente abgedichtet, selbst wenn dies für ihren sonstigen Einsatz nicht erforderlich wäre. Im Gegensatz zu Relais mit hermetisch geschützten Kontakten sind bei solchen Bauelementen oft die Kontakte nicht von der Spulenwicklung getrennt, so daß sich in dem abgedichteten Gehäuse erhöhte Konzentrationen von Gasen und Dämpfen-bilden. Vielfach sind diese Gaskonzentrationen auch die Folge von Lichtbögen, die bei größerer Kontaktbelastung entstehen. Aus diesen Gründen besteht in derartigen abgedichteten Bauelementen die Gefahr, daß Metallteile korrodieren und daß sich widerstandserhöhende Schichten auf den Kontakten bilden.Electrical components that are soldered to printed circuit boards must be washed with the printed circuit boards after the soldering process so that the flux residues are detached. Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, ein waschdichtes Gehäuse für Relais und andere Bauelemente zu schaffen, bei dem solche unerwünschten Gaskonzentrationen vermieden werden. Durch die erfindungsgemäße Ausbildung der Gehäusewände oder von Teilen dieser Gehäusewände mit einem atmungsaktiven Material wird einerseits die Waschfähigkeit dieser Bauelemente erhalten und andererseits der Gasaustausch zwischen dem Gehäuseinneren und der umgebenden Atmosphäre vor und nach dem Waschen gewährleistet. Die Anwendung der Erfindung kann in der Weise erfolgen, daß das Gehäuse Durchbrüche aufweist, welche mittels Abdeckfolien aus dem gasdurchlässigen und flüssigkeitsdichten .Material verschlossen sind.. Da diese Abdeckfolien im allgemeinen sehr empfindlich gegen mechanische Beanspruchung sind, werden sie zweckmäßigerweise auf der Gehäuseinnenseite aufgebracht. In einer-vorteilhaften Ausführungsform der Erfindung wird als Material für die Gehäusewände bzw. für die Abdeckfolien ein mit Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE) gebildetes Molekularsieb verwendet. Dabei kann das PTFE als poröse Oberflächenschicht auf einem Trägervlies aufgebracht sein. Ein zweckmäßiger Träger für diese Anwendung ist ein Vlies aus Polypropylen (PP), Polyethylen (PE), Polyester (PETP) etc. Ein mit PTFE beschichtetes Vlies dieser Art ist beispielsweise unter dem Handelsnamen "Gore-Tex" bekannt.In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a molecular sieve formed with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is used as the material for the housing walls or for the cover foils.
