Abstract

1. Furniture for sitting and lying down with at least two cushion sections, which can be used alternatively as seating furniture or for lying down, in which the backrest cushion (12), which is reduced by the seating depth, is arranged on the seating cushion (10, 11), whereby a seating cushion frame (5) on a bottom frame (1), which serves as a box for bedding, can be pulled out to the front and the bottom frame is covered by a supporting frame (2) and is accessible by means of a connection of the seating cushion frame and the bottom frame by hinges or snap-open fittings (4) and the seating cushion consists of two cushion sections (10, 11) which are connected on the front side by means of a hinge (14) and which, in the seating position, cover the supporting frame of the box for bedding, whereby the backrest cushion (12), whose surface is upright when it is in the seating position, rests on the supporting frame (2) when this piece of furniture is used for lying down, characterized in that the seating cushion frame (5) has a hinge (13) attaching it to another frame (5.1), which is connected to a box-like support frame (8, 8.1, 9, 9.1) which lies on the ground when the piece of furniture is in the lying position and which has a stopper projection (5.2) pointing upwards when it is in this position and the stopper projection serves in the lying position as the stopper for the seating cushion parts (10, 11) which are connected via the hinge (14), whereby the upper cushion section (11) lies on the seating cushion frame (5) in the lying position and the lower cushion section (10) lies in the box-like support frame in the seating position.
