Aus diesem Grunde wurde in der US-PS 21 46 966 vorgeschlagen, derartige Garne, die nicht selbsttätig am Elastomerfaden haften, mit Hilfe eines geeigneten, beispielsweise wärmeaktivierbaren Klebstoffes am Elastomerfaden festzukleben. Dabei wird der Elastomerfaden vor dem Verzwirnen mit einem wärmeaktivierbaren Klebstoff versehen, verzwirnt und nach dem Zwirnvorgang durch eine Wärmebehandlung aktiviert, wodurch die Garne mit dem Elastomerfaden fest verklebt werden. 1.Verfahren zum Herstellen eines elastischen Zwirns, bei dem ein Elastomerfaden von etwa 140 bis 200 den mit zwei Garnen, deren Starke jeweils etwa nur 1/10 des Elastomerfadens beträgt, haftend verzwirnt wird, wobei als Garne vorzugsweise im Rotorverfahren hergestellte OE-Garne aus Polvvinylchlorid-, Polyvinylzvanid-, Polyacrylnitril- und/oder Wollfäden verwendet und die Garne vor dem Verzwirnen zum Auflockern bei einem Unterdruck zwischen etwa 0,1 und 0,2 bar in Heißdampf von etwa 70° C bis zu 10 Minuten an ihrer Oberfläche angeguollen werden sowie dem Elastomerfaden bei der Verzwirnung gegenüber den Garnen eine Vorspannung gegeben wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Spannung des Elastomerfadens bei Ingangsetzen der Zwirnvorrichtung in etwa gleich der Spannung der Garne gehalten und erst nach einem vorherbestimmten Zeitraum nach Ingangsetzen der Zwirnvorrichtung dem Elastomerfaden gegenüber den Garnen eine zwischen etwa 2- bis etwa 5-fache Vorspannung gegeben wird.1. Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zwei Getriebe (34, 36) mit unterschiedlichen Übersetzungen zur Übertragung des Drehmoments einer Antriebswelle (38) auf Liefer- (18)und Druckzylinder (19) einer Zwirnvorrichtung vorgesehen sind, wobei das eine Getriebe (34) mit einer Übersetzung, die in etwa gleiche Liefergeschwindigkeit für Garn- (13, 14) und Elastomerfäden (10) ergibt, von einer Kupplung (30) an die Antriebswelle (38) bei Einschalten der Zwirnvorrichtung an- und nach einem vorherbestimmten Zeitraum abgekuppelt und das andere Getriebe (36), das eine etwa 2- bis 5-fach kleinere Liefergeschwindigkeit des Elastomerfodens gegenüber den Garnen bewirkt, gleichzeitig eingekuppelt wird.2.
