Definitions
- the invention relates to a contact clip for connecting an electrical conductor to a contact part, in particular an electrode, which has two clamping parts, which are pivoted in opposite directions to one another in the manner of a pair of pliers, between which a spring engages those ends of the clamping parts which are used for clamping serve the contact part, compressed, as long as the ends of the clamping parts lying on the other side of the axis are not pressed together by hand to open the clamping connection, and at least one of which, as a conductor connection, electrically connects the electrical conductor to at least one of the clamping ends.
- the object of the present invention is to construct a contact clip which is optimally secured against breakage and which at the same time does not pose any problems with regard to cleaning.
- the clamping parts are provided on the opposite side of the pivot axis of the pivot axis with a cavity, which cavities are designed and spatially arranged so that they interlock with one another during pivoting movements of the clamping parts; whereby at the same time extensive sealing of the interior is ensured in each clamping part position between the clamped and open state by the interlocking cavities, and that a spring for spreading the manually operated ends of the clamping parts is seated within these cavities.
- the invention ensures contamination-free inclusion of the spreading spring. So there are no cleaning problems with regard to the spring, so that it can have any break-proof shape (spiral, screw, leaf shape or the like). The service life of the contact clip is thus optimally increased.
- the contact clip consists of two clamping parts 1 and 2, which in opposite directions about an axis 3 other are pivotally mounted.
- Each clamping part has a metal sheet 4, 5 on its head in a lateral position, which is shaped on the base side to form clamping jaws 6 and 7 with notches 8 and 9, respectively.
- the manually compressible counter ends 10 and 11 of the clamping parts are provided with depressions 12 and 13 against which the user's fingers can be pressed.
- the end 10 of the upper clamping part 1 serves at the same time for connecting an electrical cable 14. The connection is made by means of an anti-kink sleeve 15.
- the electrical conductor 16 of the cable 14 is connected in the interior of the upper clamping part 1 via a clamp or solder connection 17 to the input of a high-frequency choke 18 or a corresponding resistor.
- the output of the inductor or resistor is electrically conductively connected via the additional line section '16 with the clamping plate. 4 This results in electrical contact between the clamping plate 4 and the conductor of the line cable 14 via the choke or the resistor 18. Electrical physiological signals can then be derived via this line connection if, for example, the contact clamp with the jaws 6 and 7 is clamped to an electrode .
- each manually operated end 10 or 11 of the clamping parts 1 and 2 has a cavity 19 and 21 in the area of the pressure points. Both cavities are boxes open on one side, the openings 20 and 22 of which are directed towards one another.
- the box 19 protrudes with its opening 20 below the opening 22 of the lower box 21.
- a compression spring 23 is then finally used.
- this spring is designed as a helical spring, which rests with one end on the bottom of the cavity 19 and with its other end on the bottom of the cavity 21 in the sense of exerting pressure on both floors. Because of this constant pressure, the clamping jaws 6 and 7 are pressed together at the clamping ends of the clamping parts to the position shown. If the pliers are to be opened, pressure is exerted on the pressure troughs 12 and 13 by the fingers of the hand. The jaws 6 and 7 open against the pressure of the spring 23.
- a contact clip is thus created for establishing a connection between an electrical conductor 14 and, for example, an electrode, which works with an unbreakable spring, which at the same time sits in a cavity in the interior of the contact clip, protected against dirt.
- the clamping parts 1 and 2 are injection molded parts made of plastic.
- the connections 15 to 17 for the electrical line cable 14 including the choke or the resistor 18 are thus completely encapsulated by plastic.
- the sheets 4 and 5 are each arranged on the outside of the clamping parts. Except for the released clamping jaws 6 and 7, they can also be encapsulated with plastic on all sides.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a contact clip for connecting an electrical conductor to a contact part, in particular an electrode, which has two clamping parts, which are pivoted in opposite directions to one another in the manner of a pair of pliers, between which a spring engages those ends of the clamping parts which are used for clamping serve the contact part, compressed, as long as the ends of the clamping parts lying on the other side of the axis are not pressed together by hand to open the clamping connection, and at least one of which, as a conductor connection, electrically connects the electrical conductor to at least one of the clamping ends.
By DE-GM 74 10 155 contact clips with two types of spring pressure are known. In the first type, which is mentioned as the prior art for the subject of the utility model, the pivot pin, which connects the two clamping parts, is surrounded by a spiral spring which presses the two clamping parts against one another with their clamping ends. The coil spring is quite stable; however, their use brings with it problems of cleaning, so that an application for medical purposes is hardly possible. The subject of the utility model as a second type, however, includes a spring which is designed as a ring sector. Such a spring poses no problems in terms of cleaning. However, the advantage gained in this way is paid for by the increased risk of the spring breaking at the attachment points of the ring sector.
The object of the present invention is to construct a contact clip which is optimally secured against breakage and which at the same time does not pose any problems with regard to cleaning.
The object is achieved in that the clamping parts are provided on the opposite side of the pivot axis of the pivot axis with a cavity, which cavities are designed and spatially arranged so that they interlock with one another during pivoting movements of the clamping parts; whereby at the same time extensive sealing of the interior is ensured in each clamping part position between the clamped and open state by the interlocking cavities, and that a spring for spreading the manually operated ends of the clamping parts is seated within these cavities.
The invention ensures contamination-free inclusion of the spreading spring. So there are no cleaning problems with regard to the spring, so that it can have any break-proof shape (spiral, screw, leaf shape or the like). The service life of the contact clip is thus optimally increased.
Further advantages and details of the invention emerge from the following description of an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing in conjunction with the subclaims.
Es zeigen:
- Fig. 1 das Ausführungsbeispiel in Draufsicht,
- Fig. 2 die zugehörige Frontansicht.
- 1 shows the embodiment in plan view,
- Fig. 2 shows the associated front view.
In Fig. 1, the contact clip consists of two
According to the invention, each manually operated
A contact clip is thus created for establishing a connection between an
In the present embodiment, the
