Abstract
Description
While the cleaning of dishes, glasses and cutlery and the removal of food residues with the help of standard dishwashing machines and the cleaning agents commercially available for this purpose is generally carried out without any particular problems, dried or special food residues such as starch residues can cause considerable difficulties. In addition, it is often not possible, especially in commercial establishments such as restaurants, company kitchens, hospitals, large bakeries or food factories. Machine pots, pans, baking tins and the like, in which food residues are baked, can be cleaned in the same way. The water temperatures and turbulence in these machines in connection with the chemical effect of the usual cleaning agents are not sufficient to detach such firmly adhering residues from the documents.
In previously known methods, therefore, either slurried sand alone or inert, granular material is used together with a dissolved cleaning agent of a conventional type. As an inert, granular. For example, material made of coarse particles of calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, but also small metal balls are proposed. In these processes, however, either the wastewater has to be cleaned, that is to say the removal of the coarse particles, or the metal balls used as cleaning agents have to be recovered.
The present invention relates to a mechanically applicable cleaning agent for hard surfaces, which is both mechanically and chemically effective and therefore - when used in suitable devices - firmly adhering residues, in particular on cooking and baking equipment and the like, without problems and without the disadvantages of Having prior art cleanses.
- A) a powdery or granulated component with rapidly water-soluble or rapidly finely dispersible active ingredients of customary machine dishwashing detergents and
- B) a granulated component, composed of finely divided, water-insoluble inorganic compounds with a particle size which is between fineness of dust and 100μ, in particular less than 10μ, the granules having a grain size of 0.2 to 4 mm, preferably 0.5 to 2 mm, and a grain stability determined according to the determination method given below with a half-value of 1/4 to 3 and a final value of at most 15%.
It is determined as a change over time in the particle spectrum with a decrease in the grain size in a standard measuring device which is intended to simulate the conditions when the agent is used. The measurement is carried out by measuring the decrease in grain size in a moving aqueous suspension at 60 ° C. over the course of 30 minutes after 15 and 30 minutes, and by monitoring the decrease in grain size relative to a sieve with a 0.4 mm mesh size . in the Granules B) which can be used for the purposes of the invention are accordingly those whose slowed-down decomposition in aqueous liquor reaches at least the lower value 1 /, but which expediently does not have a degree of poor solubility higher than the value 3, and which preferably disintegrate completely at the end of the test are, but not more than (or at most still) have a residual proportion of 15 percent by weight of particles larger than 0.4 mm. j
A rapidly water-soluble or finely dispersible powder or granulate according to component A) is accordingly understood to mean a powder or granulate which would provide a half-value of well below 1/3 and a final value of practically 0% according to this method of determination.
When used in the agent according to the invention, component A) initially leads to the rapid formation of a cleaning liquor which has an alkalinity, surface activity and chlorine activity which is customary for washing dishes in machines. In contrast, constituent B) of the agent according to the invention initially acts mechanically on the contaminants because of the stability of the granulate particles with respect to the liquor. Depending on the liquor temperature and machine mechanics, this mechanical effect of the granules lasts between 5 and 40 minutes, with exposure times of 10 to 20 minutes being preferred. The mechanical cleaning action of the granules is thus due to their temporary stability in the cleaning liquor. In the course of the cleaning process in the machine, the granules disintegrate into their water-insoluble, much more finely divided components, which are suspended under the operating conditions of the machine and are therefore removed with the liquor at the end of the cleaning process. It has been shown that these suspended, water-insoluble decomposition products of the granules in the Ab water can be easily removed and that they do not pose a burden on the sewerage and sewage treatment plants. From an ecological point of view, these decay products of the granules B) can be regarded as environmentally neutral. In the case of continuously operating cleaning machines, the concentration of the cleaning agent in the cleaning liquor can be kept constant by continuous dosing.
The agents according to the invention can be used both in household and in commercial machines for washing dishes, but above all in so-called pot dishwashers or pot programs, if these machines ensure that the mechanically acting granules te B) are detected by the circulation system and circulated with them.
ZR-FE/Patente
- 10 to 95 percent by weight of a powder or granulate which consists of condensed alkali phosphates and / or water-soluble or water-insoluble phosphate substitutes, alkali silicates and optionally chlorine-releasing compounds, nonionic surfactants, alkali metal hydroxides, alkali metal carbonates and other customary ingredients of dishwashing detergents, and as component B)
- 5 to 90 percent by weight of a granulate of finely divided, water-insoluble, inorganic compounds, in particular from the group of alkali and alkaline earth aluminum silicates, as well as conventional inorganic binders. ZR-FE / patents
Das Mengenverhältnis der Komponente A) zur Komponente B) beträgt 8 : 1 bis 1 : 8, vorzugsweise 3 : 1 bis 1 : 3.The quantitative ratio of component A) to component B) is 8: 1 to 1: 8, preferably 3: 1 to 1: 3.
As an essential component of component B), preference is given to the synthetically produced, crystalline alkali alumino-silicates, in particular the sodium alumino-silicates, with water-softening properties, that is to say those with a calcium binding capacity of at least 20, preferably at least 50 mg Ca0 / g of the anhydrous aluminosilicate. Of the conventional inorganic binders for granules, sodium silicates or amorphous sodium aluminosilicates formed from sodium silicate and alkali aluminate and formed during the granulation are preferred.
From the point of view of the effective ion exchange capabilities, crystalline sodium aluminosilicates, which are known in the art as zeolite A, zeolite X, zeolite HS or zeolite P, and mixtures of these zeolites with one another are used in particular. Particularly preferred because of its good ion exchanger and detergent builder properties and the favorable technical availability, the granulate component is zeolite A with a particle size distribution essentially in the range from 1 to 10 A , with practically no particles> 40 μm and the lower range up to Dust fineness and can reach at least 0.1 f.
The preferably used granules therefore consist of the finely divided, cation-exchanging, crystalline sodium aluminosilicates, which are preferably held together as a binder by amorphous sodium aluminosilicate. Such an amorphous sodium aluminosilicate formed in situ from sodium silicate and sodium aluminate has the advantage that it itself also has ion-exchanging properties. Such granules, made up of cation-exchanging constituents, also support the cleaning process in addition to their mechanical effectiveness Due to their calcium binding capacity, by contributing to the softening of the cleaning liquor and loosening calcium / magnesium-containing dirt structures by absorbing the calcium and magnesium ions from this dirt and thus facilitating the cleaning process.
In principle, effective granules according to component B) can also be built up from other finely divided, water-insoluble substances, such as calcium oxide, calcium hydroxide or calcium carbonate. These granules also have a cleaning effect against coarse soiling and do not cause any sewage problems after they have decayed; however, they contain the hardness constituents of the water and are therefore disadvantageous for the whole of the mechanical cleaning process.

Es sind aber auch andere Herstellungsverfahren denkbar.Suitable granules can be prepared, for example, in analogy to the processes specified in DE-PS 12 03 238 or DE-OSS 22 33 070, 25 24 484 or 27 07 313. The desired grain size of these granules is obtained if necessary by sieve fractionation. However, other manufacturing processes are also conceivable.
Condensed phosphates suitable for the purposes of the invention are the water-soluble alkali metal di- or triphosphates or the water-soluble alkali metal hexametaphosphates.
Sodium or potassium silicates in which the molar ratio of silicon dioxide to alkali oxide is 2: 1 to 1: 3.5 are used as soluble alkali silicates.
Suitable water glasses are sodium or potassium water glasses with 30 to 55 percent by weight of silicate, in which the molar ratio of silicon dioxide to alkali oxide can be> 2: 1 to 3.5: 1. Unless otherwise stated, these water glasses are used in the usual form of concentrated aqueous solutions.
Active chlorine-releasing compounds are preferably trichloroisocyanuric acid and the alkali salts of dichloroisocyanuric acid or their hydrates such as, for example, potassium or sodium dichloroisocyanurate. Alkali hypochlorites such as lithium or sodium hypochlorite and chlorinated phosphates can also be used.
As water-soluble or water-insoluble phosphate substitutes, component A) may contain organic and inorganic builders for the partial or complete replacement of the condensed phosphates, which have a complexing or ion-exchanging action against the hardness formers of water. It is preferred to use water-insoluble, finely divided, cation-exchanging sodium aluminosilicates together with a reduced amount of phosphate according to the teaching of German Offenlegungsschrift 24 12 836. Accordingly, component A) also contains the cation-exchanging crystalline aluminosilicates as used in component B), but in the original finely divided and easily dispersible form.
To improve the wetting effect of the mixtures, low-foaming, nonionic surfactants can expediently be added. As such, preference is given to ethylene oxide adducts with higher molecular weight polypropylene glycols with a molecular weight of 900-4,000 and adducts of ethylene oxide or ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with higher fatty alcohols, such as dodecyl alcohol, palmityl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, oleyl alcohol and mixtures thereof, and 12 alcohols of chain lengths produced synthetically, for example by oxosynthesis 18 , as well as corresponding alkylene oxide adducts with nonylphenol. The preparation is carried out in a known manner by addition of the alkylene oxides in question in the presence of alkaline catalysts, if appropriate under pressure and at elevated temperatures, with alkylene oxides being added up to three times the amount by weight of the starting compounds. An example of a suitable add-on product is an add-on product, available under the trade name "Pluronic L 61", of ethylene oxide onto a polypropylene glycol ether having a molecular weight of 1900, the proportion of the polypropylene glycol ether being 90% by weight and the proportion of the polyethylene glycol ether making up 10% by weight.
Suitable enzymes are obtained from animal and vegetable materials, in particular from digestive ferment, yeast and bacterial strains. They usually represent a complex mixture of different enzymatic active ingredients. Of particular interest are starch, protein or fat-splitting enzymes, such as amylases, proteases and lipases. The enzymes are produced using a wide variety of processes from bacterial strains, fungi, yeast or animal organs. Most of these are enzyme mixtures that have a combined effect, especially on starch and protein. The enzyme preparations obtained from Bacillus subtilis are relatively resistant to alkalis and are not significantly inactivated at temperatures between 45 and 70 ° C., so that they are particularly suitable for use in the cleaning agents according to the invention.
Sodium aluminosilicate of the zeolite A type, as is known, for example, under the name SASIL from Henkel KGaA, Dusseldorf, is preferably used.
Water glass, clays, bentonites, silica gels and aluminum gels are generally used as binders to build up the finely divided, suspended components to the larger granules that disintegrate in water. However, these binders have practically no ion exchange capacity of their own.
Granulateigenschaften und Calciumbindevermögen werden wie nachstehend angegeben bestimmt:Preferred binders are the amorphous sodium aluminosilicates which are formed in situ during the granulation. Appropriate reaction conditions and batch ratios of the binder substance during granulation or spray drying specifically produce granules which have a limited grain stability under the conditions of the cleaning process in the machines. Granule properties and calcium binding capacity are determined as follows:
In a test device, consisting of a rectangular box (30 x 27 x 19 cm; L x W x D) of 10 l capacity with a funnel-shaped bottom (27 x 19 x 10 cm; W x D x H) and inclination angles 40 and 50 respectively as well as a curved pipe as a drain for the fleet, this is via a circulation pump type Miele G 5 / Mpe 66/2/1 with a delivery rate of approx. 150 1 / min. pumped in circulation. The fleet entered via a spray arm pipe system type Lepper-Matura (1 = 10 cm). Compared to the standard version, the system is expanded by two nozzles. Above the spray arm, at a distance of 5 cm, there is an impact surface with a diameter of 11 cm. The pump pressure is 1.2 bar.
To carry out the measurement, 50 g of the granulate B) are placed in 10 l of softened water at 60 ° C. and pumped around in the test device. It will be. filtered two sample fillings after a test period of 15 or 30 minutes through a membrane filter. The filter residue is dried at 130 ° C for 24 hours. The dried granules are sieved through a 0.4 mm sieve and separated into the parts larger and smaller than 0.4 mm. To determine the value of the grain stability, the quotient of the granulate mass> 0.4 mm and the granulate mass <0.4 mm is formed from the 15-minute sample and thus the half-value. The amount of granules determined in the 30-minute sample on the 0.4 mm sieve is expressed in percent by weight and is given as the final value of the test.
Daraus errechnet sich das Calciumbindevermögen in mg Ca0/g AS nach der Formel (30 - x) 10.1 g of aqueous solution containing 0.594 g of CaCl 2 (= 300 mg Ca0 / 1 = 30 ° dH) and adjusted to pH 10 with dilute NaOH is mixed with 1 g of alkali metal aluminosilicate (based on AS). Then the suspension is stirred vigorously for 15 minutes at a temperature of 22 ° C (± 2 ° C). After filtering off the alkali alumosilicate, the residual hardness x of the filtrate is determined. The calcium binding capacity in mg Ca0 / g AS is calculated from the formula (30 - x) 10.
In a manner known per se, a fully water-soluble dishwashing detergent granulate A) with a grain size of about 0.5 to 1.0 mm was produced, which corresponds to commercially available products and had the following composition:
A) 45,0 Gewichtsprozent Natriumtriphosphat , 30,0 Gewichtsprozent Natriummetasilikat (wasserfrei), 7,5 Gewichtsprozent Wasserglas (SiO2 : Na20 = 3,3 : 1) (35 %ig), 4,5 Gewichtsprozent Natriumcarbonat (wasserfrei), 10,0 Gewichtsprozent Natriumhydroxid, 3,0 Gewichtsprozent Natriumdichlorisocyanurat.A) 45.0 percent by weight sodium triphosphate, 30.0 percent by weight sodium metasilicate (anhydrous), 7.5 percent by weight water glass (SiO 2 : Na 2 0 = 3.3: 1) (35%), 4.5 percent by weight sodium carbonate (anhydrous) , 10.0 percent by weight sodium hydroxide, 3.0 percent by weight sodium dichloroisocyanurate.
These granules A) were mixed in a ratio of 1: 1 with granules B) which were brought to an average particle size of about 0.5 mm by sieving and had the following composition:
B) 90,0 Gewichtsprozent Zeolith A 10,0 Gewichtsprozent Bindemittel, bestehend aus Wasserglas und amorphem Natriumalumosilikat, wobei das Verhältnis von Si02 : A1203 2,3 betrug.B) 90.0 percent by weight of zeolite A 10.0 percent by weight of binder consisting of water glass and amorphous sodium aluminosilicate, the ratio of Si0 2 : A1 2 0 3 being 2.3.
A zeolite A was a sodium aluminosilicate with the composition: 0.99 Na 2 0. 1.00 Al 2 O 3 . 1.83 Si0 2 . 4.0 H 2 0 (= 20.9% by weight); average particle diameter of the strongly rounded cubic crystals 5.4µ (for the range below 30µ) and a calcium binding capacity of 172 mg Ca0 / g based on the anhydrous substance.
To produce the granulate component B), 25 kg of zeolite A (average particle size 4 to 5 μm) and 2.5 kg of NaA10 2 were mixed intensively in a counterflow mixer of the Eirich-MPM mixer type. A mixture of 11 kg water glass (27/40) and 7.8 kg deionized water was then sprayed onto the zeolite / aluminate mixture through a nozzle. Spraying was carried out at 5 minute intervals and mixing was carried out for 5 minutes. The granules were dried at 110 ° C overnight.
The granules therefore had a half value of 1.2 and a final value of 5.
In Analogie zu Beispiel 1 wurde ein Gemisch aus einem Teil Granulat A) und drei Teilen Granulat B) hergestellt. In analogy to Example 1, a mixture of one part of granulate A) and three parts of granule B) was produced.
In Analogie zu Beispiel 1 wurde ein Gemisch aus einem Teil Granulat A) und sieben Teilen Granulat B) hergestellt. In analogy to Example 1, a mixture of one part of granules A) and seven parts of granules B) was prepared.
The cleaning action of the granules according to the invention was tested in a test apparatus which largely corresponded to a cleaning machine as described in DE-OS 26 00 088. The cleaning liquor, which is moved by a high-speed stirrer, is drawn in from a storage vessel of 10 1 contents and sprayed vigorously onto the surfaces to be cleaned with the help of a compressed air diaphragm pump with a delivery rate of 100 l / minute through a 10 cm long tube with several nozzles. A stubborn milk stain was used as soiling, which was obtained by concentrating milk in glass dishes on an oil bath at 200 ° C in several stages. The test apparatus was initially charged with 50 ° C warm water. The temperature was raised to 60 ° C. in the course of the cleaning cycle.
- 45,0 Gewichtsprozent Natriumphosphat, 32,0 Gewichtsprozent Natriummetasilikat, wasserfrei, 2,2 Gewichtsprozent Natriumdicfilorcyanuratdihydrat, 1,0 Gewichtsprozent Nonionic, 10,4 Gewichtsprozent Natriumcarbonat, 9,4 Gewichtsprozent Wasser.
- 45.0 weight percent sodium phosphate, 32.0 weight percent sodium metasilicate, anhydrous, 2.2 weight percent sodium dicfilorocyanurate dihydrate, 1.0 weight percent nonionic, 10.4 weight percent sodium carbonate, 9.4 weight percent water.
As expected, this cleaning agent was completely dissolved in the liquor after only 5 minutes and was therefore unusable for the purposes of the invention.
The experiments clearly show that with the particularly stubborn stains a certain amount of cleaning has already been achieved under the influence of the mechanics of the water. Sea sand brought a slight improvement. As expected, cleaning by conventional phosphate-containing detergent granules or blends has been improved by components such as triphosphate and metasilicate.
With a combination of sea sand and phosphate-containing detergent, the cleaning performance on the stubborn stains has been slightly improved.
In any case, better results were achieved with the cleaning agents according to the invention than when using the combination of sea sand and phosphate-containing cleaner.
