Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Mittel zur Abdeckung von UV-emittierenden Strahlungsquellen auf der Basis von Acrylglas, wobei das Acrylglas einen Gehalt an Farbmitteln innerhalb eines Konzentrationsbereichs von 0,0005-0,3 Gew.-% (berechnet auf eine Schichtdicke der elektroma­ gnetische Strahlung absorbierenden Matrix von 1 mm), die im sichtbaren Bereich des Spektrums zwischen 400 und 550 nm absorbieren und bei einer in diesem Bereich liegenden Wellenlänge eine Absorption von mindestens 2% besitzen und die gleichzeitig im A- und im B-Bereich der UV-Strahlung einen spektralen Transmissionsgrad T(λ) von im Mittel nicht unter 55% und bei keiner Wellen­ länge in diesem Bereich von weniger als 10% besitzen.
