Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe erfolgt erfindungsgemäß dadurch, daß an beiden Stirnteilen konisch ausgebildete Verlängerungsteile angeordnet sind, an der Beschickungsseite auf das konische Verlängerungsteil eine spiralförmige Eintragungsvorrichtung aufgesetzt ist, und an der Austragsseite nahe dem Ende des konischen Verlängerungsteiles in dem Mantel des Konus Austragsöffnungen angeordnet sind. Die konischen Verlängerungsteile sind an den offenen Stirnteilen mit ihrer Achse in Verlängerung der Achse der Mahltrommel angebracht. Sie können aus mehreren Teilen bestehen, die hintereinander befestigt sind. Dadurch wird die Montage und Demontage erleichtert und eine schnellere Zugänglichkeit der Mahltrommel erreicht. Die Beschickungsöffnung der Spirale ist nach oben angeordnet. Zweckmäßigerweise wird die Größe der Beschickungsöffnung so gewählt, daß der Rand der öffnung bei der Bewegung der Mahltrommel auf dem Rotationskreis eine Fläche nicht überstreicht, die für eine stationäre Beschickung ausreicht. Im Falle einer horizontal angeordneten Mahltrommel und einer rechteckigen Öffnung muß dafür der Abstand der beiden Kanten parallel zur Achse der Mahltrommel größer sein als der Durchmesser des Rotationskreises.
