Wird die Verbindung mit Schrauben vorgenommen, so ist die Montage der Deckel arbeitsaufwendig. Sind zur Verbindung von Abdeckung und Gehäuse Nieten oder Klebstoff vorgesehen, so ist diese Verbindung zwar einfacher durchzuführen, aber mit dem Nachteil behaftet, daß das Gehäuse ohne Zerstörung der empfindlichen Gehäuseteile nicht wieder zu öffnen ist. Diese Verbindung kann durch leichtes Anheben der freien Enden der federnden Zungen jederzeit problemlos wieder gelöst werden und das in dem Gehäuse eingebaute elektrische Schaltgerät beispielsweise gereinigt oder repariert werden. Da die federnden Zungen an den Gehäuseaußenwänden anliegen, wird erreicht, daß der Innenraum des Gehäuses vollständig für elektrische Schaltorgane zur Verfügung steht und außerdem der Deckel unverrückbar auf der Gehäuseöffnung befestigt ist.
