Abstract

1. Compact electricity generation set constituted, in the interior of a casing (4) mounted on a mobile chassis (1), by an alternator (5) coupled to an internal combustion engine (6) and having a principal cooling circuit for the engine including a fan and a radiator (13) and a secondary cooling circuit (21-25) for the alternator, characterised in that the said cooling circuits being of substantially parallel flow, the secondary circuit comprises a casing (21-23) surrounding the coupling, a ventilation fan located in the interior of the said casing (21-23) and driven by the engine (6) and located between the alternator (5) and the said engine (6) in such fashion as to effect forced circulation, and ducts (24) on manifold boxes (25) arranged on the sides of the engine and open at their lower portion.
