Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a mounting holder for a cutter head with a clamping wedge 1 and a counter wedge.
Such mounting brackets are used in rotating tools for machining wood, plastics and similar materials and are used in recesses or grooves in the cutter heads and are preferably fastened therein by means of clamping screws.
In addition to the clamping wedge and the counter wedge, the known mounting brackets either have the indexable insert supported by the counter wedge or additionally a cutter holder in order to insert a hard metal cutting strip between this and the counter wedge (see for example DE-GM 76 02 409).
As a result, the known mounting brackets, including the cutting edge, consist of at least three parts. However, this means that when replacing the cutting edge and then installing a new cutting edge, care must be taken that the corresponding wedges or cutting edge carriers are correctly inserted into the groove in order to ensure that the cutting edge is held securely.
If known indexable inserts are used, they must have a certain thickness so that they can be securely held in the groove by the counter wedge or the clamping wedge. However, this means that cutting of, for example, a thickness of less than 1.5 mm can no longer be securely held in the groove of the cutter head by means of an installation holder formed from clamping wedge 1 and counter wedge.
Although the proposal according to DE-GM 76 02 409 provides the possibility of using thinner cutting edges in the form of hard metal cutting strips by the additional use of the cutting edge holder, an extremely high level of precision must be present in the manufacture of the individual elements of the mounting bracket, so that a safe one Bracket is guaranteed. For this purpose, grooves or recesses in particular must be arranged in certain positions, which in turn means that the hard metal cutting strips must have special shapes.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a mounting holder of the type mentioned at the outset, in which a safe arrangement of cutting edges in a cutter head, which should preferably be used in the plastics processing industry, can be used with simple means, without a particular dexterity when installing or removing or high precision of the individual Necessary elements. In addition, the solution according to the invention is intended to open up the possibility of using almost any thin cutting edges.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that the counter wedge protrudes beyond the diameter of the cutter head and the cutting edge is an integral part of the counter wedge.
This solution makes it possible for the first time to provide a mounting bracket that consists exclusively of a clamping wedge and a counter wedge. As a result, installation in the groove of a cutter head can be carried out without difficulty. Since the cutting edge is an integral part of the counter wedge, it is ensured that the cutting edges are of any thickness, preferably of 0.5 mm, but also up to max. can preferably have of 1.5 mm. This is particularly advantageous if the cutting edge consists of polycrystalline synthetic diamond. In an embodiment of the invention, the polycrystalline synthetic diamond is preferably fastened to a hard metal base, which in turn is insolvably embedded in the counter wedge, for example by soldering. The use of the polycrystalline synthetic diamond opens up the possibility of a service life of several weeks, whereas service life of a few in the known hard metal cutting edges Hours can only be achieved. Therefore, it is not a disadvantage that, for example, when the cutting edge wears out, the counter wedge is not used again at first, but is replaced by a new one with a new cutting edge. The proposal according to the invention to design the cutting edge as an integral part of the counter wedge at the same time achieves the advantage that the cutting flight circle is enlarged. As a result, high machining performance is achieved.
Another advantage of the invention can be seen in the fact that known cutter heads, which usually hold the cutting edge with a clamping wedge and a counter wedge, can be used to use extremely thin cutting edges made of polycrystalline synthetic diamond.
Further details, advantages and features of the invention result from the following description of the drawing.
Es zeigen:
- Fig. 1 einen Einbauhalter bekannter Bauart und
- Fig. 2 einen Einbauhalter gemäß der Erfindung.
- Fig. 1 is a mounting bracket of known type and
- Fig. 2 shows a mounting bracket according to the invention.
In Fig. 1, a
In Fig. 2, a
