Abstract

This is a steel plate cabinet, the inner equipment of which allows a pair of downhill skis with ski sticks, a pair of heavy downhill ski boots and a ski rucksack to be stored inside for a limited period by the insertion of a coin. When set up at busy ski-runs, ski-track cabinets save the downhill skiers much physical energy which can better be used for the actual skiing. They make the roads in the winter sports resorts safer in terms of traffic and the use of the cable car systems more fluid and less dangerous. In der Wintersaison 1978/79 liefen etwa 5 - 8 Millionen Bundesdeutsche Ski. In der Welt wurden allein in diesem Jahr rund 6.4 Millionen Paar Alpin- und 5 Millionen Paar Langlaufski produziert. Der Skisport ist zu dem populärsten Massensport geworden. In Östereich allein gibt es heute 612 Wintersportorte mit 3.266 Lift- und Seilbahnanlagen. 6.500 Skilehrer lehren unbeschwertes Skivergnügen.In the winter season 1978/79 there were about 5 - 8 million German skis.
