Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a system wall or ceiling, consisting of a number of parallel support profiles which can be fastened to the building structure and are used for attaching diaphragms or the like running perpendicular to the profiles.
In a known system ceiling of this type, the diaphragms are attached to the support profiles by means of fastening elements which are pushed or clamped onto the support profiles and have metal sheet strips which face downward towards the diaphragms and which are provided at the ends with right-angled edges or flanged edges which are provided in incisions made on the sides of the diaphragms intervention. This type of attachment of the panels to the support profiles has certain disadvantages. If the panels distort or the material that forms them fades over time, the connection between the fastening elements on the one hand and the panels on the other hand can be broken. In any case, the parts change their relative position to each other, so that the bridging of cover or intermediate strips th distances between two neighboring panels are different. In any case, an irregular picture emerges. In any case, this is further reinforced if the cover strips or the like have a color that differs from the panels in order to achieve a decorative effect. Under certain circumstances, the cover strips or the like can also completely detach from the covers, i.e. fall out of the incisions in the latter into which the strips are inserted, if the changes caused by the shrinking and warping of the individual covers exceed a certain dimension. This affects the appearance of the deck to an even greater extent.
The invention has for its object to avoid the disadvantages of known system walls or ceilings.
To achieve this object, the invention proposes that the support profiles are provided with clamping elements projecting outwards or downwards, which engage in one or more slots arranged on the rear or top of the screens.
The panels can be easily connected to the support profiles dadurc, that the clamping elements are pressed into the slots. For this purpose, an embodiment has proven to be particularly advantageous in which the clamping elements consist of sheet metal strips which are barb-shaped at the ends, that is to say, for example, flanged or folded. The relatively sharp free edges of these clamping elements when using a thin sheet are under the contact pressure something penetrate into the material forming the panels, for example wood or plastic, so that the effect of a barb occurs. In this simple way it is prevented that the screens come loose from the clamping elements after the connection has been made. The result is a firm, permanent connection between panels and support profiles, the manufacture of which can be effected by simply pressing the clamping elements into the slots in the panels.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the clamping elements at the ends interacting with the diaphragms or the boundary walls of the slots arranged in the diaphragms are bent, flanged or the like in two opposite directions, which run essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the diaphragms, or the like. so that the barb effect occurs on both sides of the clamping element and on both opposite wall areas of the slot or the groove. In this simple way, an even more secure attachment can be achieved, which prevents the panels from coming off the clamping elements even in extreme, normally non-occurring conditions.
The number of slots, grooves or the like to be arranged on a panel and cooperating with the clamping elements depends on the respective circumstances, in particular also on the size and weight of the panels. Possibly. a single slot is sufficient, which runs centrally on the back or top of the panel.
In general, however, it will be advantageous to provide two slots, grooves or the like which are symmetrical and spaced apart from one another to the central plane of the screen. In all cases it is of course also possible, instead of the slots or grooves, to provide non-continuous recesses or possibly also extensions on the rear or top of each screen, which form wall areas on which the clamping elements can engage. An embodiment is also possible in which the lateral wall areas with which the clamping element interacts are arranged somewhat inclined, at least in the area of the clamping element, so that the cross section in which the clamping element engages narrows somewhat from the deepest to the surface of the diaphragm. In the case of the above-mentioned design of the clamping elements made of sheet metal strips, they would have a certain resilience, which would allow them to be easily pressed through the narrowest point located at the top or on the back - other -. on the one hand, such a configuration would further improve the quality of the connection between the panel and the clamping element.
In any case, when using the system according to the invention, the screens are secured against displacement or other undesired movement, so that the disadvantages of the known system wall or ceiling are completely eliminated.
The clamping elements can be connected to the support profiles in different ways. So they can be in one piece with the support profiles. The invention also provides the possibility of punch the clamping elements out of the support profile.
In another embodiment of the invention, the screens are attached to the profiles using fastening elements, each of which consists of a substantially rectangular central part, the mutually opposite edge regions of which are shaped into clamping elements. The arrangement can be such that the two other opposite edge regions encompass the support profile or parts thereof. It is possible to push the fasteners onto the profiles or to make the connection by bending in place around the support profile or, for example, flanges thereof.

The system ceiling according to FIGS. 1 and 2 has a number of

The system ceiling is attached in such a way that the

In the embodiment according to Figures 3 and 4, the panels are attached to the T-shaped support profiles using
