Disclosed is a laminated log 100 comprising on opposite sides thereof a first and a second side lamella 110, each having an inner side 112. The inner side 112 of said first and/or second side lamella 110 comprises one or more grooves 150 extending in a longitudinal direction of the laminated log 100 in order to guide drying cracking of the given side lamella 110 to the respective inner side 112.
