Abstract

Se describen nuevos compuestos triciclos de N-cianoimina y composiciones farmacéuticas que son inhibidores de la enzima, transferasa de proteina farnseilo. Asi mismo se describe un método para inhibir la función Ras y por lo tanto para inhibir el desarrollo anormal de células. El método comprende administrar los nuevos compuestos N-cianoiminas triciclicas a un sistema biológico. En particular el método inhibe el desarrollo anormal de células en mamíferos tales como un ser humano.Novel tricyclic N-cyanoimine compounds and pharmaceutical compositions are described that are inhibitors of the enzyme, farnseyl protein transferase. Likewise, a method is described to inhibit Ras function and therefore to inhibit abnormal cell development. The method comprises administering the new tricyclic N-cyanoimine compounds to a biological system. In particular, the method inhibits abnormal cell development in mammals such as a human.
