Abstract
The present invention relates to food compositions for feeding aquatic organisms characterized by their immunostimulatory effect. In particular, the immunostimulatory food compositions of the present invention comprise plant-derived prebiotic fibers, probiotic agents, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and additives. The feed composition of the present invention provides an increase in the immune response of fish, shrimp and prawns against diseases including AHPND, reducing the mortality rate, improving the production yield and the quality of the animals. Particularly, the shrimp fed with the compositions of the present invention show a survival greater than 70%.
