Abstract
El carbón activado de base celulósica se hace más estable térmicamente por la exposición a un halógeno y/o un compuesto que contiene halógeno. Tal carbón de base celulósica tratado es adecuado para su uso en la mitigación del contenido de sustancias tóxicas en los gases de escape, especialmente los gases de escape que tienen una temperatura dentro del intervalo de aproximadamente 100ºC a aproximadamente 420ºC.
