Abstract
Настоящее изобретение относится к сельскохозяйственной практике для максимизации фиксации углерода, повышения производительности, устойчивого земледелия и минимизации выбросов парниковых газов. В одном варианте осуществления предложен способ, включающий посев сорта Brassica carinata в качестве второй культуры в севообороте с первой культурой или для замены парования; внедрение методов управления земельными ресурсами для сокращения использования ископаемых видов топлива и максимального улавливания атмосферного углерода растительным материалом Brassica carinata; сбор урожая сорта Brassica carinata для получения зерна и возврат от 70 до 90% всего растительного материала из сорта Brassica carinata, помимо зерна, в почву. В результате общие выбросы парниковых газов, связанные с сельским хозяйством, сокращаются. В некоторых вариантах осуществления способ дополнительно включает получение зерна для использования в производстве растительного сырья для приготовления топлива с низкой углеродоемкостью, для добавления углерода в почву и/или получение углеродного кредита.
