Abstract

Sinskey. The invention relates to medicine, more specifically to ophthalmology, namely to surgical methods for the treatment of complicated eye injuries, and can be used for the treatment of traumatic cataract, accompanied by damage to the iris. The present invention is to reduce the risk of intra- and postoperative complications, in particular the risk of hemorrhagic, inflammatory and infectious complications, by simplifying the technique of operation, reducing the amount of surgical intervention, which allows, respectively, to increase the effectiveness of the treatment. The method of surgical treatment of traumatic cataract, accompanied by a defect of the iris, includes the removal of traumatic cataract, IOL implantation, suture fixation of the IOL and elimination of the iris defect using a Siepser sliding stitch. At the same time, the suture thread is fixed to the IOL optics, and then the IOL is implanted into the ciliary sulcus and fixed to the iris with simultaneous elimination of the iris defect using a single Siepser sliding stitch, for which the Sinskey hook is used.
