В одном аспекте изобретение относится к способу или устройству для измерения реологических свойств мультифазного потока текучей среды, проходящего по трубопроводу, содержащему средство отбора проб с пробоотборным зондом, часть потока текучей среды; для измерения перепада давления между первым давлением, потока текучей среды в трубопроводе и вторым давлением, части потока текучей среды в пробоотборном зонде; для регулирования скорости потока отобранной части, в котором скорость потока отборной части регулируется для обеспечения возможности обнуления перепада давления, чтобы получить, по существу, изокинетический отбор проб потока текучей среды; для измерения свойств части потока текучей среды; и для обработки данных измеренных свойств для определения реологических свойств мультифазного потока текучей среды, проходящего по трубопроводу, в котором вышеуказанные элементы не требуют измерения плотности или выполняются без измерения плотности текучей среды в потоке текучей среды радиоизотопными способами.
