Полученный желтый железооксидный пигмент фильтрованием отделяется от жидкой фазы, промывается, сушится, измельчается и прокаливается при 600-900°С для получения красного железооксидного пигмента. В качестве щелочного агента на стадии синтеза желтого железооксидного пигмента используется водная суспензия гидроксида железа (II) с рН 8,5-10, полученная путем его осаждения аммиаком при перемешивании из раствора соли железа (II) с концентрацией Fe (II) 5-140 г/л.
