Изобретение относится к системе для определения характеристик потока частиц, например для определения характеристик размалываемого материала, в частности размалываемого зерна, в вальцовом станке с образованным вальцовой парой (2,4) вальцовым проходом (6), причем система включает в себя располагающееся вслед за вальцовым проходом (6) отборное устройство (8) для отбора пробы (1) размалываемого материала из выходящего из вальцового прохода (6) потока размалываемого материала; демонстрационный участок (10) для транспортирования и демонстрации отобранной пробы (1) размалываемого материала; распознающего устройства (12, 24) для распознавания транспортируемой через демонстрационный участок (10) пробы (1) размалываемого материала и анализирующего устройства (14) для анализа распознанной пробы (1) размалываемого материала.
