Abstract
Способ и устройство для упорядочения пикселей в изображении по степеням выделенности, включающие определение (200, 210) множества областей для каждого из множества пикселей в изображении, причем каждая из областей для любого из пикселей с координатами (x, y) имеет различный масштаб s; вычисление (230) значения энтропии для каждой из областей; идентификацию (260) любой из областей как имеющей пиковую энтропию; взвешивание (270) указанного пикового значения энтропии каждой из областей с пиковым значением энтропии с помощью весового значения, соответствующего оценке ширины пика указанного пикового значения энтропии; и упорядочение (290) областей с помощью взвешенных пиковых значений энтропии, тем самым упорядочение указанных пикселей. Изобретение может быть включено в способ и устройство для передачи изображения, обеспечивая предпочтительную передачу выделенных частей изображения. Это имеет особые преимущества при передаче изображения по радиолиниям с ограниченной полосой пропускания.
