Abstract
The invention relates to medical engineering, namely to surgical equipment. The device to restore permeability of arterial blood vessels includes the following elements installed consequentially along the base tube: two segment cylinders, a conduit and a channel to inflate the cylinders. The base tube is hollow, the second cylinder segment is spherical so that it is capable to form a sealed cavity together with the first segment, when inflated, that cavity formed by the outer surface of the hollow base tube, the inner walls of the cylinder segments and the inner wall of the arterial vessel; additionally it contains an extended tube to feed drug in and evacuate it out, the tube featuring holes along the area between the two cylinder segments and at its distal end; the channel to inflate the cylinder segments is shaped as an extended tube with at least two holes at its points of joining with each cylinder segment. The method to restore arterial vessel permeability is characterized by introducing the said device inside the arterial vessel via a special conduit while monitoring its progress and passing it through the constriction area to the distal segment of the artery, where the cylinder segments get inflated. The cylinder segments are positioned in the artery vessel so that atherosclerotic plaques fit between them. The cylinders are inflated through tube openings and the medicine is injected into the newly formed sealed space via the input and output openings.
