BeskrivelseDescription
Machine for portioning fish fillets or similar products.
Frembringelsens anvendelsesområdeScope of production
This provision relates to a machine which can cut a fish fillet or similar products into smaller pieces without breaking the fish, thereby guaranteeing that the fish or fish pieces do not exceed a certain length.
Maskinen består af to aflange, runde metalcylindere, to motorer, to transportbånd og den ydre ramme omkring maskinen. The machine consists of two elongated, round metal cylinders, two motors, two conveyor belts and the outer frame around the machine.
The fish is led to the machine and down between the two cylinders of a conveyor belt which sits directly above the two cylinders. The conveyor belt is designed (see drawing 1) to rotate around a very small wheel so that the edge becomes very sharp. On one of the rollers, round blades are mounted, and this knife roller can be replaced with others, where the blades sit at either larger or smaller intervals. In total, four such knife rolls have been manufactured. Due to the sharp edge of the conveyor belt, the blades can extend all the way to the edge, thus preventing the fish from breaking on its way from the conveyor belt to the blades. On the second roller, the surface is shaped like "hill and valley" as shown in drawing 2. The design allows the blades to pass through where there is "valley" and the fish is held by the "hills". These two rollers both rotate; the knife roller rotates clockwise and the other roller rotates counterclockwise. The fish pieces are then transported away for further processing of the next conveyor belt, which sits directly under the rollers. The last conveyor belt and the rollers are driven by two motors located under the conveyor belt and the rollers, while the first conveyor belt is driven by its own motor.
Kendt teknikPrior art
Today, many fish products require the fillet to either be cut into smaller pieces or not exceed a maximum length. This problem was previously solved by cutting the fish by hand, where the required maximum length was determined on purpose, but due to the increasing use of this type of products and a sharp price competition, a mechanical solution to the problem was necessary.
Since there is no machine to solve this problem, the company itself has been responsible for the development, and thus no known technology exists.
As far as the first conveyor belt is concerned, previous conveyor belts (see drawing 1), where the belt runs around larger wheels, have caused the fish to fall a bit before further processing.
