Abstract
An anti-theft device for articles of clothing on a hanger rod comprises a wire 3, which is fastened to the hanger rod 2 and is led through, for example, a buttonhole in the article 1 to be secured. At the end which is led through the buttonhole, the wire has an eyelet 6, which can be introduced into a slot 7 in a lock housing 5. The lock housing 5 has a bore 4, through which the wire is led, and a lock body 8, by which the eyelet 6 can be secured in the slot 7. Such an anti-theft device is cheap to produce, since the lock housing can consist of a plastics block, and easy to use, since the one end of the wire can be permanently fastened to the hanger rod. <IMAGE>
