Abstract

The invention concerns a towed manure spreader with high- placed spreading element. The manure spreader is especially designed for use in spruce plantations and similar row crops with high growth, which require a large spreading height. The manure spreader is of the type where the manure transport and spreading occurs by pneumatic power. A powerful blower built into the manure spreader produces an air flow through an ejector, where the manure is injected in measured quantity. The manure is then transported at high speed by means of the air flow through a pipe system, which emerges in the nozzlelike spreading element, which directs the outgoing mixture of air and manure. The spreading element is located at the rear of the manure spreader at a suitable height on it, for example, 3 meters height, and is designed to perform a pendulum motion in horizontal plane, so that the manure is spread in a fan-shaped spreading interval.
