Abstract

A fire-resistant safety glass product comprises at least two plates of vitreous material, for example, glass, which are joined together by an intermediate layer of adhesive bonding material and the metal wire mesh of the type used in "wire mesh-reinforced glass", embedded in the intermediate layer. The safety glass product can be manufactured more cheaply than conventional wire- reinforced glass and the wire mesh is not deformed in the manufacturing process. <IMAGE>
