Abstract

A connection element (3), consisting of a corrugated cardboard blank, serves for producing a connection, which may be detachable, between a pallet (1) and a foldable corrugated cardboard container (2). The connection element comprises a first flat part (31), which can be attached to the pallet surface, and a second flat part (32) which can be folded towards said first flat part and passes through slots (23) between transverse bottom flaps (21) of the container. In order to provide improved loading conditions for the connection and to allow universal use for different types of pallets, the first flat part corresponds at least to the outside dimensions of half the base area of the container and the second flat part corresponds at least in one main extension, in particular the width, to the corresponding inside dimensions of half the base area of the container. Two connection elements are attached to the pallet surface with the folding lines towards each other, after which the container is placed over the upright second flat parts by means of the slots and the second flat parts securely arrest the transverse bottom flaps (21) and the longitudinal bottom flaps (22) between themselves and the first flat parts under loading conditions and centre the container. <IMAGE>
