Abstract
Previously unknown pharmaceutical solutions of dissolved insulin possessing improved physical stability are prepared by incorporating, into the solutions, an essentially ionized zinc salt in a concentration which corresponds to a content of zinc ions at the disposal of the insulin of more than 4 Zn<2+>/hexamer of insulin. The insulin solutions are particularly suitable for use in pumping equipment for continually administering insulin.
