Abstract

A cylindrical microwave applicator for heating appliances has adjusting means for varying the heating intensity in the cross section of a cylindrical load (1) conveyed through the applicator (2) in the longitudinal direction thereof, said means constituted of a metal wall structure (6) positioned in the applicator parallell with the axis thereof and adjustable from the outside and making contact, in a microwave manner, with the cylindrical and plane inner surface of the applicator.
