Abstract
An optimally designed direct flow steam generator with a vertical gas flue 2 in which hot gas may flow upwards from beneath, has in its vertical gas flue 2 an evaporating surface 4 with an input manifold 5 and an output manifold 6 and with tubes forming an upper tube section II; IV having an upper section end 10; 13 and a lower section end 9; 14, and a lower tube section III; V having an upper section end 11; 15 and a lower section end 12; 16. The lower section end 8 of the upper tube section I of these tubes either passes into the lower section end 9 in the lower tube section II, or the upper section end 10 of the upper tube section I of these tubes passes into the upper section end 11 of the lower tube section III (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
